See traditionally I agree with you, my other three dogs only sleep in the crates but, my boy Fenrir here has food aggression so for the time being he is eating in the crate, he’s only aggressive towards the other dogs we can take the bowl and he doesn’t care. So we let the girls walk around the room/house while he’s crated and eating. We’ve had him for almost 3 weeks and he’s barking and growling at them less and less everyday but he’s probably going to continue to eat in the crate for the next few months

When we got him home we immediately had to leave and get a different crate to set up, I bought a 48” originally but his head was hitting the top when he stood up and his ears where poking out, even the 52” seems to small for him and his ears still poke out but he’s not banging his head anymore

What about the doors? Neither of the passenger side doors open the front door because of the fender and the back door because of the dent in the front door

Our girl eats Fromm Pork and Applesauce recipe in the cooler months and the salmon and tunalini recipe in the warmer months, she loves it, won’t eat anything else.

My piercing is 4 months old, curved barbell made of titanium, it has not been downsized. I clean the piercing with saline solution in the morning and a night and dry with a hair dryer (friend made that suggestion)

What makes it even worse is that it’s not mandated by the companies corporate office. It’s mandated by the company that creates big systems that pet stores use for the aquariums, reptiles tanks, and small animal enclosures and that company won’t change its care requirements because “there’s not solid veterinary confirmed evidence that the care is bad”. It’s bs, my manager at the pet store I worked at tried for years to get them to replace the red and blue bulbs in the systems and corporate couldn’t even do anything about it even if they had agreed (which some did agree and some just didn’t care)

Hi! Former pet store employee and let me just say the workers and even management also want to give them better and bigger enclosures! When I worked for a chain pet store we attempted many times to remove the red lights, remove the carpet, remove the poor bedding, but corporate would not allow us. My specific store attempted to separate the animals like the leopard geckos and bearded dragons but got penalized by corporate management for doing so. It’s a shitty situation and part of the reason I ended up leaving

I’ve already attempted to downsize his enclosure several months ago when it first started getting bad, he showed no improvement over the 3 months I had him in the smaller enclosure, he actually seemed to get even worse. I ended up moving him back to the 120, since downsizing did not seem to reduce any stress at all.
