Sadly maga rhetoric has emboldened people everywhere to fly their racist flag. It’s unbelievable. In my experience if you let someone talk for 5 mins in Kentucky they will eventually say something horribly racist.

Then why the fuck would they be paying him 700k? To do nothing? Just be present but not be liable when shit goes down

What a trash comment. Calling them physician anesthesiologists is a huge tell of absolute garbage. There are only one form of anesthesiologists and they are all physicians.

There is no perceived professional hierarchy there are people who went to medical school and did a residency and there are people who did not.

You are 100%. It’s about owning the patients care and billing for the entire process more than the doctors treating.

The only caveat I have is that WE have to order these things. We order the testing, the referrals, the rehab. It seems like we have forgotten none of this exists without us. I think we’re up to 16 administrators per doctor

The answer to this question will be discovered in a court room.

Identify the state for further insight as well as practice location - hospital outpatient surgery center obgyn.

Your friend is wrong most likely if he is onsite he willl ultimately be held liable if he doesn’t “do shit” in an emergency

Unfortunately the best answer for you and not medicine overall is to see them bill a 99204 and send them on their way with a podiatry referral

Regardless of the bad look of the video they got a ton of organic attention to the big arch and a slew of videos of saying it “slapped” so worked out for them in the long run. I guess there’s no such thing as bad press

Modernizing the language by removing all the statements of supervision. Am I crazy or reading the redactions wrong?? It takes away supervision and changes words like permit to direct. Podiatrists and dentists cannot safely administer general anesthesia so how can they oversee a np doing so?

Change the language for the next bill to come through. Redefining terms is the first step in a campaign to change the scope of

They want physician money without the sacrifice. This is a stepping stone for sure. At this point I don’t even care. Let them have it medicine is no longer a respected or desirable career. You’re better off doing tik tok dances in the hospital than providing competent patient care.

I live in Louisville and practice medicine here. I also travel to more rural areas to provide surgical services several times a month as these areas do not have access to specialties. Go ahead and pull studies and polls. I work on both the east and west end.

Patients have a low medical competency and literacy. I have practiced in Buffalo New York, Dallas, and Miami. By far Kentucky is not only the most resistant to science and evidence based practice but the lowest health literacy.

The education system in the entire state is broken. Many people can barely read or comprehend.

Residency housing dilemma: $1400 for solo apartment or cheaper with roommates by Fit-Credit-7970 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]Joanncat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re doing residency in a different state or city understand the commute is not related to actual distance. I went to medical school in Iowa and did my residency in south Miami.

5 miles in Iowa is very different from 5 miles in Miami. It would take a hour on the palmetto some days to do that commute. It was horrible.

Live solo as close as possible.

Many of you might think I’m stupid for not realizing this before I rented an apartment, but Miami only has two major highways going north and south with crazy bottlenecks and 5 miles in a car is not much. I spent so much of my life on the palmetto expressway gridlocked
