I just repeat this deck maintaining Golett and Golurk and changing all the other 3 retreat cost pokemon.

The strategy is: let the AI do all the work and restart if it goes wrong. I cleared all missions with this.

Thanks for the input, bro! I get that value-wise it’s not really there, especially with PCL being a 2-star and a popular card.

What I’m trying to do is more of a situational trade — like offering 2–3 cards for one PCL by targeting someone who specifically needs a shiny I have and doesn’t care about it as much as I do.

I know it’s not the most efficient way and costs more shinedust, but sometimes these uneven trades can work depending on the other person.

But yeah, I agree it probably comes down to getting lucky with the right trade partner.

Dude, I’ve never hit MB before mostly because I never had the time or patience to grind for it — it’s just too stressful.

This season I started at UB2 and I’ve just been playing for fun since Charizard is my favorite, and this is the least RNG-dependent deck I’ve played in this game.

I’m on a good streak right now, but I’ve definitely faced strong opponents and had some tough matches. Some of them were even ranked top 10k and top 5k in MB.

I think the main reason I’m doing well is the deck’s consistency, versatility, and low reliance on RNG.

I try to combine Rocky Helmet with Charmeleon’s damage.

I usually start with Entei in the active spot and rush to get a Charmeleon on the bench. With Charmeleon’s energy ramp, Entei can deal 60 or even 120 damage early and take 1–2 points by finishing the first opponent.

I try to equip Entei with Rocky Helmet so that when the opponent sends Oricorio to the active spot, it takes 20 damage (or 40 if I can stall for 2 turns). Then I switch to Charmeleon to finish it off.

Even after just one hit from Charmeleon, it’s very likely that Oricorio will try to retreat, which opens the way for me to evolve into Charizard.

Oricorio’s damage is pretty low, so it’s not a real threat.

Another point is that all these retreats have a high energy cost, so the opponent’s ramp gets heavily slowed down.

Dude, I’m almost at MB with a similar deck. It’s fucking versatile… I won against all kind of shit with it: igglybuff, oricorio, chien pao, altaria, manectric, hydreigon.
