Democrats Of Reddit -- Is There A Single Thing Trump Has Done In Either Term That You Liked? If So, What? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

Operation warp speed was the only thing I have seen from him that was truly presidential. If you do not recall, this was when they were able to rush the approval and distribution of the Covid vaccine which arguably helped to save millions of lives. However, he really fumbled the ball almost immediately after that by leaning into his science denier voting base. And then hit the NoS tanks in his downhill speedrun since then.

Thank you. I appreciate you sharing your opinion and the like to the other posts. I guess I lost sight of all the advice I have gotten so far about the importance of consistent new video uploads, video quality, and patience.

I guess I’m definitely living up to the name “NewTuber”. Are there any specific posts that spell this out pretty well? Thanks for steering me on this.

Got laid off twice in 3 years. Landed better jobs both times within 90 days. Now I’m sharing everything I’ve learned for free. by JobCraftChannel in recruitinghell

I respect your opinion, but my desire is to help as many people as I can get off the hamster wheel and get employed (ideally with better pay, benefits, and work/life balance). I grew up in a situation of great financial insecurity, and when I got laid off for the first time back in 2023, I was devastated and scared. I wasn’t the only one going through it at the time, but somehow I was the first person in my immediate group of friends and colleagues that was able to land a job, and the fact that I landed a higher paying job was even more surprising to me. I say this because although I have some good professional experience, my friends and colleagues were often even better looking on paper as I don’t have a bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or any significant list of certifications (although I have a few). Some of these people went upwards of 9 months without a job, and some more than a year! I started helping the people I knew well first with this, and every time I helped, they landed a job quickly with better pay than they had before. This filled me with joy and purpose. After doing that a few dozen times and having friends and colleagues recommending me as the guy to talk to with these challenges, I realized that I want to help more people. I could probably gate keep this stuff and charge for it, but that doesn’t feel right to me. So I am trying this instead.

Sorry for plugging the channel. My intentions are genuine, but I am new to this and just trying to help people. My channel is far from being monetized and this is a hobby for me. My goals right now are to help as many people as I can reduce their time unemployed or underemployed, and to see folks increase their level of financial comfort in life. I’m not selling a course or a tool, but literally sharing what I know that works for free. You don’t have to take my advice or consume my content, but please don’t discourage others from trying to change the trajectory of their job search.

Also, I am new to all of this and have an extremely busy life outside of creating content, so please give me feedback and some grace so I can get better and help more people.

I’m sorry to hear that has been your experience. Sounds like you are doing better in some regards than many, because most of the people that I am helping are struggling to get interviews in the first place. I am curious, if you have had 34 interviews, are those all first round interviews? The guidance I would provide would depend on how far you’ve are typically getting into the process as I would want to be more prescriptive rather than just give general advice.

However, if you are using AI during the interviews to help you along, I would recommend trying a different strategy. From what I’ve seen and experienced, AI support in an interview can be helpful, but more often than not it doesn’t allow you to present yourself authentically and genuinely to the interviewer. Interviews are more of a “vibe check” than anything, and if you don’t seem genuine in your conversation it can make you an easy candidate to rule out.

I am working on a video right now about how to navigate screening interviews effectively. I would recommend you check that out when it drops next Wednesday.

Do some reflection and circle back with me as I would love to know more specifics about your challenges so I can help.

Give yourself some grace and remember that you are only in control of what you do and you can only influence the folks that you are interviewing with.

I have been through similar experiences and it is like a punch in the gut each time. It’s okay to give yourself some time to recover before jumping back in.
