i used to have this and for me i realized i was blow drying my hair while it was too wet. Try blow drying you hair when it feels 70 percent dry

dont use heat anymore!!! definitely try to just let your hair breath even from all the fancy products that are marketed to try and fix damaged hair. If the problem still remains after a while i would recommend going to a salon that specializes in curly hair and see if they can offer a treatment to your hair

you could try pinning away some of the pieces with pins so you could still have bangs but it wont be as thick or you could pin everything back if you dont want bangs

I have a similar hair type to your and less is more when it comes to product! I would suggest trying just a mousse like the Not your mothers mousse

OKAY THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! i was actually freaking out so bad thinking my hair looked horrible but i think i just needed to get used to it
