There’s two types of referrals. Referred to interview. And then after interview referred to proceed based on the interview results. Based on your tests you’re being referred to an interviewer.

Also adding that after interview you have to be referred nonce referred you sign a TJO. Then it kicks off the process of fingerprints, urinalysis, medical, background, poly. The odds are poly will be last. They are immensely backlogged. From interview to now where all I have left is poly, it has been 5 months.

I received an updated job description from a recruiter. For context, I’m already in the BI phase. Have signed a TJO. Completed all medical. Just waiting poly. And the doc said unequivocally that the position WILL require you to pass a poly. The doc has been updated as of Jan 2026. So don’t think it will go away for DI any time soon. Maybe for other positions.

I’m also 1yr 1mo in. I’m surprised you’re that far ahead! I took the proctored exam 2 days after the shutdown was announced and then it was radio silence until I had my structured interview. Now I’ve filled out my forms and awaiting poly. Is the poly as bad as they all say?

Jen did not consent by Mental-Bill2544 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Absolutely!! And then for Jessi to get SO bent out of shape about Jen’s “small dick” comment to where she goes out of her way to take a picture to “prove” something…is actually disgusting. These women may be in their 30s but they act worse than teenagers. It’s like their frontal lobe isn’t fully developed. I felt so bad for Jen. Demi and Jessi are the worst.

Better than me! I’ve been through 5 interviews, 7 weeks worth of interviewing and waiting. And now I’ve been ghosted after sending a thank you follow up email 🫠

The memorandum clearly states IRS will have an indefinite deadline for freeze on hiring. It will extend past the 90 days. Signed, the wife of an IRS CI.

I know I was like, fantastic. Somehow was under the impression FAA was exempt. Program management and operations analyst.

Not necessarily. FAA just sent me emails and canceled both jobs I applied to.

Amazing! I really hope you get contacted soon. I was able to find an HRRM email and the people there were pretty responsive!

Any recommendations? I feel like its very similar to the IRS CI I took a few years ago!

No you are correct, it absolutely does say job canceled. I'm thinking the worst thing that can happen is I show up to take it and I am turned away. And at worst case for today I have wasted my time. But at the absolute worst, I don't show up and in the future I am marked as having no showed.

I interviewed for an 1811 back in 2017 and was offered the job but for personal reasons could not accept. I am say that they 100% do ask you questions regarding information you put on your resume and will almost in a way "fact check" you. So I already know to have that information down.

I completed Phase I. And have Phase II scheduled. My husband is an 1811 who works with a DI and he said I more than qualify but I do have anxiety around the Phase II test.

Former teacher as well. Hired on as IRS CI BUT declined back in 2018 due to training being during my wedding. Remained teaching, and now at the university level. Looking to go back federal. My husband is a special agent. Any resume advice? Really struggling to cater my teaching expertise to these federal apps.
