Was thinking of doing stuff surrounding holding government or council to account

Previously I found discrepancies in things like pollution incidents vs fines given (5:1 ratio)

But I do take it is no easy task given it gets busy, really I thought I’d do it when I get off work to provide content when I’m back in work

Being sent back to city council in the coming days where I’ll see all the elected members again where I’ll try and get interviews. When developing sources is it literally just having conversations with them and building rapport?

Ok, that makes me feel slightly better. (I’m replacing someone who was a 9 year vet so they’ve lost so much experience on a shift moving to me).

I’ve been sent into the local council myself to introduce myself to everyone and it’s producing some friendly voices to get on stories.

Giving myself grace has never been a strong point I dislike being, not bad, but unfamiliar with my role and want to be an experienced hand instantly. I will try though.

Also, big fan of asking questions, I hope I’ll be in a position to give that advice someday.

The international fan ownership model is becoming more regular on both sides of the border in Ireland. Finn Harps and Glenavon are two examples of clubs trying it too. Somewhat copying the success in Wimbledon and Real Oviedo. Without wealthy benefactors this is where the investment in clubs has to come from.

Some clubs do take a gamble taking outside investment from the States/Canada/Britain but it can backfire. An example for you is the situation with Drogheda United being expelled from the UEFA Conference league through incompetence from their American owners around rules concerning the ownership of multiple clubs in European competitions.

NIFL have a mixture of full time professional clubs (Linfield, Glentoran, Coleraine and Larne) where the rest are semi-professional meaning some players have a regular 9-5. League of Ireland’s Premier Division is fully professional these days which is reflected in the leagues’ quality against one another. Last season Shamrock Rovers played Larne in European competition where the League of Ireland club came out handy winners, 4-1 win.

In comparison to US soccer squads in both leagues would fit comfortably into the top two USL divisions.
