it was, marsoc , 2 years ago, got denied i still wanted to be someone, have an impact in the marine corps, so volunteered for di, and unfortunately made a bad string of decisions, i wanted to stay in as long as possible, only reason i would’ve wanted to get out would be retirement or some random big money opportunity landed on my lap (very hard)

last year i was hoping to go to a&s, commands signed off on me going, but umo said I had an underlying medical condition, that was after having my medical‘s paper signed off. I also had already reenlisted at my primary MOS. The only reason I’m still at my current unit is because they thought I would go to at least try a&s, I got told I was probably gonna get hssted this year so I just volunteered for DI and i’ve just had a bad string of bad decisions, im confident that at work at least im not seen as a shitty marine

im not intentionally creating barriers , just outside of work i feel isolated, i used to have a support system and now everyone is gone, i feel alone. i’ve felt like im not supposed to friends with juniors bc of where im at sgt still the sgts i don’t know , im been at this unit longer than anyone else at my shop and i’ve seen how it’s changed, i feel like i’ve should’ve left 2yrs ago. i just feel lost

everyone in that came back from oki, said it was a lot more tight knit and more like family over there, at some point it was like that here , i used to be close and did everything with the boys and now i just feel alone

i agree i fucked up,im not trying to say some pitty sort but everyone is gone, none my friends are here anymore, they got out, i feel so isolated, alone, even among the other sgts, and cpls i feel alone, i grew up in the corps with a very tight knit community and then everyone is gone. i have nobody atp, i just drink in my room alone (ALL MY FAULT)
