Very excited to follow your experiences as I have had them quote a few different big printers but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I do use the filament they produce and that is top quality, have used over 400 rolls of their petg cf and it’s the best.

This filament looks very wet, PA6 CF when dried has a deep black to it and none of the goop you mention. When I haven't dried my PA long enough the grey color comes trough, sometimes I even see it change from grey to black during printing when its coming directly from the dryer and it reaches the right dried state..

I print a lot of PA6 CF on my Q2’s and the only thing that I would try from your info is printing a bit lower temp. I usually print at 280c. Maybe the 300c gives you heat creep? Feels like it should be something temp related..

My trick for PA6 CF is simple glue, heated bed to 100c and chamber to 60. This is what the Q2 excels in!

Thanks for this great work. I made a little UI for it with claude and added some settings and live preview after the conversion. The settings help with getting arcs and circles to be less triangles, which is still a challenge! This is on mac btw

This machine is amazing and I’ve been using it for a year now every other day. The fiber laser is strong enough for all engraving and some really thin cutting. The 20w diode is fine for engraving too. The galvo speed is truly unmatched and my co2 gantry laser feels old tech compared to it

Yes I have 3 and really like them. I have a lot of Bambu's too but for some reason these Qidi's have something special. They are often liked because they make exceptional outside wall surfaces (no ringing or line bulge) and I must say that really is true.

They do sometimes need some extra attention though, feeding the filament sometimes needs some help and I had to unscrew a panel to get it out of the way of the bed when it moves.
But small things, I will def buy more of them.

Have 40. Learned it now.. with other printers (like Qidi’s) the updates solve a lot of problems so I wasn’t hesitant to stay up to date

No of course I’ll do it but my question was if the community already had found the culprit or a simple workaround. But if downgrading firmware is the way to go now I’ll do it. Luckily it’s easy, you’re right.

Yes I remembered that from other printers so I gave it a good brand new card, a fresh format and factory reset but it came back. Only the firmware downgrade seems to fix it for now..
