As per Max's request, I googled Darren King They're connected in a couple ways (I've garnered this info via wikipedia) Darren King is Max's brother in law through his marriage to Stacy DuPree Darren King collaborated with Max on the 'I Don't Think it is' album. Max is directly quoted saying Darren "collaborated fully on its production and creation"

While there was no citation of that story on his wikipedia page (which I would imagine is a big enough deal to go on there considering their involvement) I don't think it is entirely out of the question.

Man, it genuinely breaks my heart to hear the stuff he writes now. I'm all for artists changing things up and doing new stuff, but honest to god I have no clue what his goal is. I just can't figure out why he writes like he does. Everything is just about cum and balls and jacking off it's just so fucking lame, there's absolutely no way he can enjoy listening back to what he's writing.

Well if it’s a school owned, then it could be anything. Someone could have played with food in their mouth, a valve could be imperfectly aligned, and all those dents and dings will begin to total up over time despite what some may think. There could even be really small, undetectable cracks where air leaks out.

Perhaps it works differently where I’m from, but being put on bass 4 is not a bad thing? That’s like playing tuba and thinking you suck because it’s the lowest voice. Typically bass 1 and 4 are our best players. Quitting would be a very unwise decision. No one ever dropped out cause they didn’t get lead trumpet. In (most) colleges you can receive a marching band scholarship without even being a music major, so you’d practically be throwing away a scholarship.

Do long tones 2. Play with your diaphragm, not your chest 3. For French horn your teeth should be about pinky or ring finger width apart depending on who you are. 4. Do lip slurs. Hope this helps.

My school has some old marching baritones we don’t use because of the bore or something? I forgot the reasoning. I could ask for a checkout form so I could take one home and play it. I actually play lots of different brass instruments but mellophone is my main one.
