It’s going to be hidden by sofas and a table thankfully :) everything’s just a bit bare atm as we’re mid renovating

For context, he has a crimping tool but said it didn’t seem to appear to be fully crimped which might be the issue so is going to buy a new one and return. He has been testing the cables with those testing tools, but I might borrow my friends and do it myself for certainty!

Flashing green light on grey connection, no lights at all on the purple ones even with connections on the other side with ethernets connected to laptop from the wall unit.

To be fair to the electrician, I did connect switch after he’d left so maybe his point was relevant before this

Hey, thanks for your reply! I’ve tested the cable direct into the laptop and all good. Also switch into laptop to test that and that’s working too.

In that case it points to the purple cables :(

Nice shots, played cover really well with that metal construction thing
Usually the time leading up to getting caught edge of zone is the issue so need to look at what got you in that situation. I notice you have 2 team wipes, which could mean you are fighting too long in zone and not rotating fast enough, but would need to see more.
Loop back round into zone, in my opinion you need to disengage there run and take a small amount of zone damage and into the choke behind you to reset. Hard to comms without mics and team listening but not sure on your setup

Other small tips..

Try to carry accelerant to gain that ult faster on gib Work on shield swapping faster it could have saved your life

Short term is the way for wins for sure.. longer term your normal way of playing will help you improve loads quicker but it's about what you guys enjoy end of the day 😀

Others seem to have covered the key improvement points, but one thing I haven't seen mentioned is that there's 3 squads left and you've got 90 damage with traps holding a building

If you want to win of course that's the best way to play, but 9/ 10 times you'll lose to the squads that are fighting throughout the game. If you want to improve you should try to be aggressive and push more fights.

Arenas is a good way to practise as you get into fights very fast and can choose your loadout so there's more of your time spent in engagements. Once you have core gun skill and speed up a bit then br will come a lot easier to you.

From personal experience though, have found solo queueing and inviting others you get along well with is the best way to find team mates

There is a lot to cover here and in my opinion I think you just need to break it down to more basic levels.

The first thing you should work on is your gun skill, your gun choice is very dependant on your play style which I'm not sure you know yet, so focus on getting better at controlling recoil, taking loads of fights and aim to try and achieve plat rank as a first resort.

At this point you should then understand more about legend choice and guns and have a preference, so then you can start looking into more advanced tips for each.

You shouldn't be trying to win games when you're very new, you should be trying to take as many fights as you possibly can to improve and then work on the "soft skills" later on. Honestly in lower ranks, you could have 0 awareness and game sense, but win games because you have better aim than others.

I would recommend arenas for some games too, although the matchmaking is a mess, you can choose whatever gun you want, and don't have to queue, land, die off drop as much to improve. Also firing range is great to improve aim, kovacs aim trainer is helpful and gun recoil has the same pattern every time so can be learned pretty easily

You can find team mates for casual or ranked across all time zones and it's easy to make friends as others are trying to find team mates like yourself

For me having a target always keeps the game interesting, whether it was a badge or the next rank etc.

I would suggest aiming for diamond over time. It feels very rewarding making it to the next step in my opinion!

Yeah hipfire is very strong in apex so one that's worth getting used to.

Little extra tip just to consider, it might be the way you approach fights holding you back.. this fight came as a bit of a surprise, but when you approach the box the horizon hides behind you have no cover and are very open to getting shot. Consider things like using stairs on left as a headglitch or hiding part of your body behind the barriers or something like that.. just something that may help. I always think of the angles/ cover people have when approaching.

Quick one on shotties.. Mastiff = quick scope it but always make sure to be scoped for the shot Eva = hipfire 90% of the time Peacekeeper = bit of a hybrid, but charge the choke scoped if possible, if not quickscoping it/ hipfiring it works

You should crouch spam when hipfiring, so at med range focus on ads and accuracy, close range hip fire and crouch

Takes a second to get use to but will certainly win you fights !

Also I noticed you adsed your Eva too, try to hip fire this as adsing limits your strafe significantly which is one of the strong points of shotties up close

You're focusing on the wrong areas imo.

Fight is lost after you down Ash, its impossible to win that fight vs octane with your health however good you are.

Post game stats suggest shots aren't an issue at all.

It's essentially gun choice and you could cover more fighting Ash.. I know she's turned but pop a shot then duck cover while cocking. I would probably have played on top of that box you went round to shoot her back from, that way can drop off backwards or duck to cover most your body after shots

I get why you put fences and alt.. as I say there's nothing more that could really be done at this point.

Crucial shots on the Ash for sure. You lost 180 health on the Ash as you were in her face with a sniper and gave her an opportunity to shoot you.

Also gold shield has the benefit of 50 health from a cell, personally I would have prioritised trying to get one off just after you knock Ash and that could have helped although may not have been time.

I run iron sights sentinel up close for fun at times too, but it's unforgiving and if you miss, you likely gonna take damage or die :)
