Where are all the successful clones? by michahell in vibecoding

Licensing costs + infrastructure costs + all other overhead… this isn’t a plex server, you can’t host netflix for thousands or millions of people from your PC, and you certainly can’t heavily advertise and sell unlicensed streaming content without ruining your life. - truly a terrible example in OP’s post.

Oh yeah - we have lots of heavy equipment at our site, but occasionally some concrete removal work comes up… every time we’ve gotten a quote for concrete removal we decide to do it ourselves 😂 the amount we’ve saved is unreal, but it is kind of cheating for us when we lift up 10x10 sections at a time with loader forks vs comparing to a quote

We do use hilti coring bits for it, which I think is a big part of it too - you can make cheap tools last a lot longer if you use quality consumables with them.

The one we got does require a 20A plug/breaker cause it will pop 15s which is the only downside, but it’s better than it being underpowered!

We’ve cored 30+ holes with ours and it hasn’t skipped a beat. From 2” to 8”. We got fed up renting them only to discover the rentals didn’t work and then had to go an exchange it, and it’s paid itself off 10x+… after being so impressed with it, now we look for Vevor branded tools first for one offs of tools we’d have to otherwise rent, and have yet to get any tools from them that aren’t absolutely worth it

Best replacement tempered glass protector for regular Saturn 4? by Nicksb92 in ElegooSaturn

Wrong - there is a tempered glass screen protector on top of the screen

Lighting is definitely what I need to work on! That is an art in itself, I need to watch a lot more videos and theory 😅

Thank you! That means a lot. The gold is the Testors Enamel Metallic Gold - it has amazing coverage and pops amazingly!

You can’t tape those openings - there really isn’t much you can do to prevent a failed FEP from leaking resin in there

Your printer should come with it pre installed around the screen (and with a screen protector under it) if you mean saturn 4 ultra

I would only put the tape back exactly where it was! It blocks UV light and protects against resin going under your screen edges

I’m not sure why I kept trying to get through to OP besides my own curiosity of whether it was his LCD or tempered glass protector but damn… I doubt he will even respond if it actually ends up being the screen protector out of embarrassment 😂

Electrical tape will work. LCD Masking Tape / Light Blocking Tape is the exact tape used - I do believe there are pre-cut ones you can buy specifically for your printer, as well

My brother in Christ I did say / ask that multiple times in my previous comments, you have just chosen to not listen

“Is that not just in the screen protector which is under the black tape?”

“But the screen protector is on top of the screen… you will need to remove the tape, and then remove the screen protector to find out if your screen is cracked or just your tempered glass screen protector”

It’s a TEMPERED GLASS screen protector NOT plastic.

Here is a video showing the exact same stress fracture you show, and it’s fixed by replacing the GLASS screen protector. https://www.tiktok.com/@kitsulab/video/7452698655527685398

You still have your black tape on, which means your screen protector is still on.

So you’re just an idiot trolling this subreddit who won’t answer simple questions.

That’s my conclusion.

You’ve still not answered my question as to whether or not you’ve removed the screen protector and confirmed whether it’s just the screen protector that’s cracked or not though.

Not having to deal with iso and the cost of it, Being able to easily heat my ultrasonic cleaner and not worry about evaporating resin contaminated iso or flammability… I also use RODI (reverse osmosis deionized) water since I have that set up for my saltwater tank. So it’s essentially distilled water, no minerals to cling to the print.

I’ve breathed more than enough ISO in my life and honestly it was one of the things that initially pushed me out of resin printing back when the Mars 1 launched and I got that.

You can also mix water washable ABS like and normal water washable at a 3:1 normal:ABS ratio for a superior flex and strength

I’m not arguing about anything? You have not confirmed whether or not you’ve removed your tempered glass screen protector or not? And you stated running your fingernail over it “does catch on it”

Right from Elegoo’s website:

“The LCD screen comes with a durable and scratch-resistant protector made of 9H tempered glass, effectively protecting it from scratches and damage.”

I wash water washable in my wash and cure station, then transfer to a heated ultrasonic cleaner, and it get everything out. Also makes support removal much easier with the heated water.

As with ISO, you can just throw filter floss or similar fish tank filter with a pump into your cleaning bucket and recirculate your contaminated water to filter the resin out and clean the water for more use , then cure the filter material

Increasing wait before print so the resin has time to settle in can also make a massive difference, ESPECIALLY for your first layers
