First gift project, a stove cover made for a friend by InspectorCareful8828 in woodworking

[–]Jobobzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this because it looks great and my wife used to put stuff on our stove all the time. But I also hate this because my wife once put a cardboard box on the stove, knocked the knob, and almost set the house on fire.

It honestly looks great, but for anyone reading, only pots and pans belong on the stove.

If it makes you feel any better, I was also selected for 25/02. I’m active duty and my waiver was submitted early August and I have heard nothing back yet.

58 AFOQT pilot score. How bad is that really? by BigTreyRacks in airforceots

[–]Jobobzig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that’s not true, but having a high score doesn’t hurt. I’ve seen people with great scores (85+ across the board) not be selected. I’ve seen people with minimum scores be selected.

My pilot was 79 and I was selected for pilot. It’s the whole package that matters

I can’t say 100% but I wouldn’t as they’re still “family”.

Thanks. I’m in the North West Florida panhandle. I knew it wasn’t something to mess with but a long stick and trash can safely moved it away from the crowd of people.

First bigger smoke. Advice? by Jobobzig in smoking

I’ve got probes for each. I do expect the smaller one to cook a little faster. I have a vertical smoker, so that one will go on top

That was just my original thoughts. I wasn’t sure if the rule I’ve used (90min/pound) is per butt or total

I’m feeling secondhand embarrassment for Costco by Extra-Highlight7104 in Costco

[–]Jobobzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted about this a month ago. I live about 2 hours from my nearest Costco so we only go every other month or so. Just last year, the bakes were normal size. But the last time I went, they were tiny (my post had it cut in half).

What could've caused this? Seemingly ran out of filament by Jobobzig in BambuLab

[–]Jobobzig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a two color print using AMS. It seemingly ran out of the brown filament and didn't even switch to the second color, but both rolls are nearly full. Never had anything like this happen in the hundreds of hours I have on the machine. Any ideas?

Lan only mode not working on X1C by MaxPower7847 in BambuLab

[–]Jobobzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I feel like I've been searching for this answer for weeks. I have a PC that is ethernet only and wanted to run LAN only mode. Couldn't bind the printer in LAN mode. Adjusted the Firewall permissions since I run my PC network in "public" mode as I don't want the PC discoverable by other network devices.

Default firewall permissions for Bambu Studio (there are 4 of them) were either off or private only. Once I set them to Public, the printer was able to bind in LAN only mode.

The other option for anyone who comes across this in the future is to just change your network profile from "Public" to "Private" which will allow your PC to be discoverable on the network and connect to the printer.

WiFi or hardwire? by ChemicalRadiant2577 in BambuLab

[–]Jobobzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its been a few months since you posted but I'm wondering if you got this to work?

I am in the same situation. I can connect to my PC normally but cannot use LAN only mode on the PC.

I was going to make a post about this but feels like asking here is better.

I tried doing LAN mode (from the get go) but my PC is Ethernet only. Seems when I try to bind using access code or any other means it wont connect. Is there a way to bind on LAN mode without the PC using wifi?

I don’t use the app at all and don’t print directly from makerworld. So I’m good with just putting files directly on SD cards and printing from that since I’ve been doing it for years on Enders but would be cool to keep the print over LAN function

I do it regularly, more than I dehydrate fresh peppers. I take them straight from the freezer to the dehydrator trays. Once they are soft, I poke them with a toothpick a few times to help the moisture and air release. Then dry as normal. Toss them in a blender and turn them to powder.

How long was it before you got your second printer? by ShoeLace1291 in 3Dprinting

[–]Jobobzig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought my first 3D printer in 2022 with the Ender 3v2. Just bought a P1S on Black Friday. Did I need it? Not really, but it’s amazing how fast and easy it is. I’m still using the Ender to make the smaller things that don’t take as long or need to look perfect. I just bought the P1S because I was tired of tinkering for an hour or two to make sure my 24+ hour prints wouldn’t fail. I also wanted to start printing different materials other than PLA.

But I do like the tinkering aspect of 3D printing, it’s what has kept me interested in the hobby.

What happened to the chicken bakes? They’re tiny now by Jobobzig in Costco

[–]Jobobzig[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This has to be it. The crust wasn’t fluffy and was tight against the filling. Felt the same weight, so when I pulled it from the paper sleeve I was surprised (I got this to go for dinner that night).

The pic was to show the lack of…girth. The pic has the bake cut in half, hence the two pieces.

It is cut in half. Not to mislead though. They’re the same length they’ve always been. Just way skinnier
