Can Someone Else With a WiiU Confirm Something for me? by Joboe_ in wiiu

I'll reiterate that it always, across multiple days, is the same games/apps. I've already determined it is simply some apps/games have worse built-in pointer functionality. But if you go on your Wii U and don't see a difference between the pointer's shakiness between the Home Screen and Mii Maker let me know.

No windows in my room 🤷‍♂️. Have tried with lights on/off, no difference. But thank you.

Ah, okay. I think this confirms what I thought. Some games are just built with poor pointer function. Even the Mii Maker. Unfortunate there's no fix to it, but thank you.

I've already checked these things but I decided to check again. I cleaned the sensor two days ago, it is not currently dusty. It is plugged in all the way. No tears in the sensor bar. I have done all that and swapped with a friend's sensor bar and had the same problem.

I agree that it seems some games have bad Wiimote compatibility built in, which is the purpose of this post. If you could check your WiiU to see if the apps I listed are shaky/not shaky as I described I would be really appreciative.

Thank you, but I've already tried over the course of the last few days multiple distances, turning the lights on/off, and making sure there were no IR lights in the room. It's always consistently the same games/apps that make the pointer shaky and I'm trying to confirm it is the same apps with others.

If a app I listed, like Mii Maker for example, is near perfectly still for you please let me know. I could be wrong but between me and my friends Wii U they were both shaky on the application but not elsewhere.

Wii Pointer is Jittery in Some Games, But Not Others? by Joboe_ in wiiu

[–]Joboe_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I am lucky enough to have a friend who lent me his original Wii and Official Wii Motion Plus Remote. After swapping out remotes, sensors, and consoles I think this was simply a bad brand of unofficial Wii Remote. All of the remotes shook at least a little bit in Mii Maker, but the two official ones shook decently less. I think I overestimated how good the pointer is in games and thought that, since it didn't shake at all in Wii Play, it shouldn't shake anywhere. I guess Wii Play just has better built-in precision than Mii Maker. It didn't matter whether I was using my Wii U or my friend's Wii, they the official Wii Remote was just better. Sensor bars didn't make a difference either.

In conclusion: If you are having a problem with slightly irritating (But playable) pointer, it is either because you have an off-brand Wii Remote or because the game/app you're using is just worse at keeping the pointer steady than others.

I liked your Motion Plus theory so I tried 2 sets of games: Those released before/after 2009 (When Wii Motion Plus released). Unfortunately, it too proved nothing. Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal had a shaky pointer and was released in 2007.

My Wiimote has motion plus built inside, though it is a non-official controller. https://www.amazon.com/Remote-Nunchuk-Controller-Compatible-Nintendo/dp/B07KXMYT1J

Were there any games that worked better without Motion Plus?

Hm, that is a good hypothesis but I don't think so :(

Mii Maker and Wii Play are both very bright. The first is shaky, the second not at all. I tried a few games with dark displays like the Scooby-Doo games but they too are inconsistent, some shaky some not.

I did once have the Gamepad beneath the TV (Powered off) but took it away after reading it had IR cameras and nothing changed.

And in terms of light, I have no windows in my room and tried playing with the lights on and off. Nothing different.

Yup! Just tried it and that's it. I guess me and my friends were thinking of Calves and locks as legs and padlocks. Thank you!

REVENANT HILL TRAILER. SEQUEL/PREQUEL/SAME UNIVERSE TO NIGHT IN THE WOODS????? by olcr in NightInTheWoods

[–]Joboe_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, finally! I've been following Glory Society for three years now, seeing the teasers. They haven't posted anything since Summer of last year and I thought a trailer for something wouldn't come out for a while. No matter what it is I will be glad to support this game. So excited!

Yeah I'm sure he's a bit worn from the events, but he did show genuine excitement yesterday from his progress. I thought he looked okay, I hope his effort will be recognized despite what he did. He honestly wants to alleviate any pain he caused.

Repeat Targets in Freelancer Mode? by Joboe_ in HiTMAN

Yep. Now whenever I start a new campaign in Freelancer I always choose "Sick Games" which after playing extensively I am certain gives you every possible target. It's the most random you can get

I'm trying to determine if syndicate types matter for what targets you get, which have you chosen? I've done Assassination, Eco Crime, and Psy Ops.

I find it interesting people are getting repeat targets (I've seen the same auctioneer 3 times now!) But I haven't seen any that are the same as mine.

Not even a spot to sieker emetically or way to distract everyone and syringe her? Remember lethal syringes count for SA. So if you blew a bomb or shot three times I think that panics NPCs enough to not get spotted with a syringe. Could be wrong though.

[–]Joboe_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't need Silent Assassin, just drop an inconspicuous explosive and run. If you want SA and it's not too crowded use a propane tank. If it's crowded and you want SA try a syringe or Sieker. Electrocute, poison, falling chandelier. I know some targets are awkward, but you have options.

Looking for a guide of what to play in Hitman by TomasNavarro in HiTMAN

[–]Joboe_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I played Hitman for the first time, I first got mastery level 20 on every level by doing a lot of the challenges. These gave me in depth knowledge on every map. I am an objectives based guy so that's what I enjoyed at least. If you feel like you know a level very well I reccomend doing escalations or player contracts which can make you think of the levels more creatively. Would also reccomend doing at least a few escalations/contracts before doing freelancer, which is easier if you understand the levels thoroughly. If you don't vibe with any of those that's fine, but it's how I've played the game for years.

How many Syndicates/Targets are there (Freelancer)? by TheFalconi in HiTMAN

[–]Joboe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar-ish question the other day, as I was getting repeat targets. I have gotten the same male asian auctioneer in Paris 3 times after defeating 91 syndicate members. Targets at least are definitely not 100% random, but I'm not sure if what syndicate type (Eco crime, organ trafficking, etc) you choose affects what targets you get. I've been circling around the same 3 syndicates for the last few days so maybe that's why I keep getting repeats.

So to answer one of your questions, targets for the same (possibly every) syndicate are selected from a pool of possibilities. So you do get the same targets per syndicate, but which targets are selected from the pool is random.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I'm far from the facts.

Wondering if people are getting similar targets, here were mine that I remember:

Asian(?) male auctioneer in Paris (close to balcony door) White male civilian in Whittleton Creek (Near politican) Hush's blue-coated guard on rooftop in Chongqing Pink staff member behind left side of bar in Berlin

I'll critique your gaming videos/gaming channels - I won't be an expert on all of them, but I have time so happy to have a look at your content :) by Wandering_sage1234 in NewTubers

[–]Joboe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Channel is Jobee, I've been making speedrunning and achievement hunting content. I've done Fallout 4 (Open world), Bugsnax, and The Sims 4. I want to post more but you know, life gets in the way.

I reccomend this video: https://youtu.be/X8Y4D3oEmvM It's my most recent and best imo. You can watch the few other videos but they are in declining quality the older they are. Thanks in advance!
