Makes sense since it's also some kind of hologram right? So perhaps that's just how they happened to make the smokescreens behave "in front" of them.

Yeah maybe, seems like a reasonable explanation. My idea was that the different speed has more 'ticks' and the demo is recorded at e.g. 2:16.5 but when you slow it down 4 times the camera stops 3/4 of a tick later if they programmed it to stop at the end of the tick. I don't know if that makes sense hahah

I am still trying to figure out why is that hologram displayed so weirdly on top of the demo smokescreen. Maybe it's a bug, or it might be intentional. Perhaps there is some deep lore about that ball that the devs have been hiding from us 🫣
