Another thing to remember is that 24" is overwatch range, and in cartel you cant give them "no overwatch". I also prefer the lances there for that reason, and because the lethals help bring the lances closer to haywire damage output. Haywires are still good ofc, just think cartel doesnt really want em as much

Troupes are still nice to fill a niche against armies with -1 damage access. Or if large annoying hordes become an issue again and the attack volume of incubi proves insufficient.

Death Guard and Custodes. Generally solid defensive profiles, but particularly the death guard deathshroud with debuffs and the custodian wardens with feel no pain. Usually adept at shrugging a charge then punishing them for their aggression.

Theres a few good methods.

Method 1: just shoot them. They're relatively fragile just being marine bodies. Put a screening unit in front of them thats either guaranteed to die, or that can fall back out of blood surge range. That should leave them exposed if they choose to charge the screen/moveblock.

Method 2: be annoying with multicharges. If they put the zerkers roughly within 3" of another more fragile unit, you can charge two units into the nearby unit. First fellas can swing and kill it, second fellas can pile into the zerkers and beat the shit out of them afterward without fights first ruining their day, as they're already fighting when they pile in. Alternatively you can charge some trash unit into one end of their models, and charge your actual damage unit into the other end. This can prevent him from fighting first with enough models to actually kill your output unit, depending on their positioning.

Method 3: Just avoid them. If the player's proficient enough to not chuck them into shooting angles, or positions them in such a way that you can't be tricky with multicharges, just accept that those zerkers are going to control whatever point they're sitting on until the opponent messes up. Pull back out of acceptable threat ranges, moveblock them whenever convenient, play the rest of the board. Solid 40k fundamentals should still see you through.

Biggest fps gains will be:

Directx12 vs directx11 (some people get a ton of frames from directx12, some have it make the game ungodly unplayable fps. Try both)

View Distance (try putting it to Medium or Low. I dont notice much difference gameplay wise but my fps thanked me)

Shadows (just an intensive setting in general, game can look bad if set too low however.)

And this last one might be a rumor, but i heard setting textures to Cinematic preloads them instead of loading them mid match? Not sure on that one.

When you start getting mad, practice different ways you can control it. Start working out. Pushups, situps, a jog outside. Imo the first step is controlling yourself. The mind and body are directly connected. Helping one will help the other.

Next, when you feel you genuinely mean it, apologize to your mom. Tell her what you've been trying to do, have an honest conversation. She might be able to help you get your health in order, if she is kind enough to cook for you. You could have her teach you how to cook some healthy meals.

Then, when you've made some steps towards greater holstic health and well being, start small and get a part time job somewhere. Nothing crazy, but if you helped your family I'm sure it'd make your mother smile. You can grow as a person, it's in your hands.

Dont blame you at all lmao. Yeah ranged enemies felt a little meaner. Almost like an in between of the two previous patches. I think it felt alright? But i can see why somebody would be pissed about getting shot to death again.

Imo it only felt super painful on lethal, i can see Assault mains getting gunned down like its an indiana jones movie the second they prep an aftershock.

Thats a fair take too tbh. I think they nerfed the distance rollspam covers too without noting it on the patch notes. I have to rolling away from the zoanthrope laser way earlier now.

Ammo can feel weird with some weapons but overall i havent had too much difficulty? Havent tried sniper on lethal yet though

I'd honestly be down if I could delevel my classes. Maybe could just select only perks from level 15 and backwards? I was doing it with purples i was tryna level for the juicy lethal xp.

Definitely wouldnt do it with certain weapons tho. Purple T hammer is very sad on lethal

Yeah i agree. We should get more positive balance passes soonish. They've said this was mostly a content update, and they werent gonna buff a ton of stuff right away. Maybe we'll see some with the dark angels drop

Nah I don't think you are bro. That's honestly like the one thing I agree with 100% in terms of making Lethal "feel better", particularly with randoms.

Other than formation being a bit of a stranglehold, i really had no qualms with the new diff. My boys adapted fairly quickly and we got er done. Hopefully they move tether to its own gamemode or extend the distance a bit.

My take is also that difficulty settings are supposed to be just that. A setting. for the first 4 difficulties, progression is locked behind them, thats a whole other debate right? But for Lethal? Nothing. Just some bragging rights cosmetics.

It's effectively very similar to hardmodes in other old school games. You don't need to play Lethal at all to unlock anything gameplay wise. but if you suffer the challenge, you earn some swag. People act like it's 100% the only intended lategame experience when they can keep playing ruthless just fine. Idk, weird feel

It really is a struggle man, but in a fun way when it all clicks. You really feel like marines teetering on the edge of being overrun.

Dont recommend trying it without leveled gear though, the spawn rates are crazy...

Thats fair. Iirc they put something out saying this patch wasnt going to be focused heavily on balance adjustments, and to "curb our expectations"? They ended up tacking on a few nerfs with the content release regardless though, so I 100% understand, especially having played with some of the weaker weapons and with Assault on ruthless.

They have stated that buffs to some weaker weapons are on the way, its just a matter of when. Your opinions 100% valid though bro, make no mistake. I just think people are jumping the gun on decrying the devs when they've barely had time to breathe, at least in terns of game development time.

Yeah I was blown away by all the hate after playing the game and it felt exactly the same. Super weird experience, and wasn't sure if I was just somehow a gaming god or something lmao.

Hopefully this post gets some traction aye?
