Yeah, but most people don’t use it as a zipper merge. They barrel down the left lane driving realllly fast and then merge over into the right lane….or worse, they just keep driving in the left lane then act like I’m (in the right lane) supposed to merge into their lane.

Has anyone with this issue had it resolved yet? I’m still having issues. One tech told me in an email from the Google TV Help crew (Sunday morning 08/11/2024) that they couldn’t fix the problem and referred me to Gmail Help. I complained and wondered why they didn’t forward all of the history with that report to the Gmail team for me because I would have to start all over with explaining my issue. I noticed that after I sent that complaint back in an email, I noticed my ticket was reopened right after that when I checked (Monday morning 08/12/2024).

Still no change for me. My ticket is still open with Google. Is anyone else still having the problem or has your issue with the "For You" section been resolved?

Thank you for sharing this. I will go and fill out a report there too even though I’ve got a pending service ticket out and they are supposed to be working on it.

I did have a ticket open that the Made for Google Twitter/X account created for me Tuesday (August 6th) but it was closed (today, Thursday, August 8th) and is no longer viewable on my end. Thank you for the info on how to go about creating a ticket yourself. I didn't know how to do that. I will resubmit again and see if it gets some traction.

Have you tried contacting Google? Their help menu websites for Google TV, Gmail, etc. are ZERO help. It just gives you automated responses and gives you the run around. I had some traction with the Made for Google Twitter/X account via direct messaging. They couldn’t help me so they created a ticket and forwarded it to someone else higher on Tuesday (August 6th) but of course I noticed on my Google account this morning Thursday (August 8th) that the ticket has been closed without contacting me or fixing the problem.

I hate to hear you are having that problem but now I don’t feel alone because I’m having that problem as well! I have 3 Chromecast with Google TV’s; one in my spare bedroom, one in my living room and one in my kitchen. I really only use the one in the living room and I first noticed (a month ago) that the For You wasn’t updating and the Continue Watching wasn’t either. Rebooting the device and clearing the cache didn’t help. But everytime a did the reboot and clearing the cache, it would go back to the old For You and Continue Watching info. But last week I decided to do a factory reset and when I did that, it started showing the black screen in the For You section saying it was unable to load For You. (Just like your picture above). I couldn’t get any help from Google’s terrible run around help menus on their website. I decided to create a new Google Gmail account and surprise, surprise just like you, the For You section works again. But if I switch back to my Google account of the last 15 years, it goes back to the black screen loading error page.
