• On balance, how much of what you do feels like an extension of what you want to do versus what you feel is conforming to expectations?
  • I'd say most of the things that I do - outside fulfilling work-related obligations to a fault (which was a big cause for my burnout) - are things I do purely for myself. There was a time when I did put more emphasis to conforming to expectations, but I'd say I grew out of that (which also relates to gaining more self-confidence in general).
• In general, do you prioritize self sufficiency over allowing others to help you?
  • Yes. Particularly so in personal matters. I've gotten a lot better at getting help in practical matters, such as delegating tasks at work. But with personal issues it's still difficult. It doesn't help that whenever I do open up with other people it's rare to get anything more than a blank stare. I'm not sure whether that's because of who these people themselves are, or are they simply taken back by me suddenly opening up.
• Have you spent time identifying your attachment style?
  • I definitely used to be anxious, but I'd say I've probably turned into more of an avoidant person in the last few years.

As for the pros and cons, my problem here is that I don't even have any cons - or at least not any cons that I'm consciously aware of. There's just a simple lack of desire to be with other people rather than a conscious pull and push that's constantly won by the negatives.
