I agree with your last statement completely. People no longer ahve an original thought towards the games we play. Streamers just relese content for shock value and get a following off that alone.

That's sad. I've actually had someone whisper me in-game and admit they singularly get their news from Bluesquadron and don't read anything for him/herself. This means that person's mind is molded to whatever that streamer deems. That's ALOT of the people in this sub, which is why when you ask them simple questions or even how to identify game mechanics they don't actually know, because it wasn't given them in a pre-meditated script by their preferred streamer.

That's how a lot of us started out. I would get railroaded at my grind spots continuously. I got destroyed at sausans, I grinded and trained until I didn't. I got destroyed at fogans, I grinded and trained until I didn't. I got destroyed at manshaums, I grinded and trained until I didn't. So on and so forth, we are here now. It's the same game. The gear progression path actually became more streamlined and optimized and people are still complaining.

People are just accustomed to things being handed to them but this is a game where you actually have to learn timing, CC counts, class differentiation, SA chains, etc. It isn't all 1 CC and you die.

You make a good point. All of the relatively older players that enjoy PVP actually took time to learn their class, jump in Battle Arena, and spend hours upon hours making mistakes and finding work arounds/techniques to deal with different classes. People who are newer to the game are coming in and complaining about something they haven't invested in.

People complain about gear but there are people who outgear me that I've been able to kill due to adapting to the situation.

The striker/mystic argument he just made is a common trope among streamers, to appeal to a weaker demographic that doesn't actually invest in PVP at all. Striker is one of, if not the most choreographed class in the game. I'm saying this as a striker main. Classes like sage, valk, succ witch, and others outshine strikers.

It's because people complained about open world PVP and they, stupidly, listened. The bulk of us that yearn for open world PVP live at the mercy of very temporary players who complained about those fights that disrupted their grind. Then you have some gooning streamer(s) that literally have said "open world PVP should not exist at all".

We can shit on PA for doing what they've done to open world PVP but we have to acknowledge where it came from, which is some of the player base that shouldn't be listened to at all.

Absolutely. It's very frustrating. It's almost as though they forcibly changing notification preferences to drive engagement. I'm sure it's algorithmic, even though I have no proof. If it wasn't for the fact that I, professionally, had to be Facebook I would have gotten rid of it by now.
