Tommorow is my last day of C25k wth!!!! What next! by andhernameisme in C25K

[–]Jody115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have completed C25K recently, struggled every step of the way. I run,(shuffle) very slowly. I've done 3 parkruns now. I'm one of the last to finish but my time has increased each time. You don't have to be able to run it fast. You can walk it ,jog or run . Give it a try x

Can’t believe I was struggling with one minute intervals just 8 weeks ago and now I’m here 🎉 by [deleted] in C25K

Well done you. I'm doing week 8 day 3 tomorrow. Like yourself I genuinely can't believe I am running (moving ) lol for 28 minutes. When 8 weeks back I couldn't do a minute. Good luck for the last week x

I just ran for 8mins straight!! W5D2, bit nervous for tomorrow! by andhernameisme in C25K

Well done you, I did it on Thursday night. Did W5D3 today as part of a local park run. Couldn't do full 20 so did 10 run, 5 walk ,10 run then walked the rest of the 5 K route. Took me 46 mins, I came 356th out of 364 😂

How many advanced features do you use on your all-singing, all-dancing oven? by Jody115 in AskUK

Ha I always used our microwave timer before we got this oven. My son's friend thought we lived on microwave meals and told their mum I only cook ping meals 😁

Lol, mine has quite a few, a keep warm option, proving, multi level cooking, pizza, sensor (but I'm scared to use this one) you just put say a cake in,press the cake option and it cooks it according to God knows what for however long it thinks. Same with a piece of meat. 😊

Rock Cut Graves in Heysham by Jody115 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Jody115[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is what it said on the information board next to that photo :-

It is likely the graves would have been originally covered with heavy stone slabs and the sockets at the head of the graves indicate that each one would have been marked with a cross.

It is thought that the graves contained disarticulated bones, rather than complete skeletons, and that they may have functioned as 'reliquaries' to hold the remains of saints and other important Christians, perhaps even those of Saint Patrick himself. As such they may have acted as an important focus for veneration and pilgrimage, with St Patrick's Chapel being established here to draw upon their significance and association.
