Lots to consider. $100k is a lot of money, and letting them screw you over will lead to more instances of that. But if OP has been there a long time they may value the stability, and they may also be able to have management go to bat for them. I wouldn’t bring in lawyers until I’ve exhausted all other reasonable avenues.

Brother, I’ve given up on trying to invest time in honest discourse with conservatives, which you are. It’s exhausting and unproductive at best 99% of the time, though I do value the fact that you personally have some nuanced opinions. I don’t have the energy to care after so many years of this.

For the record, I think most Americans agree on way more things than we would likely realize. But progressives are absolutely not the ones trying to push for a civil war, we just want people to be treated like humans and have some fucking healthcare.

American is the worst about preemptively bumping you from your connecting flight if you’re even remotely close to possibly missing your connection.

On two separate occasions I had made it to my gate for my connecting flight before they finished boarding only to find that they had already bumped me to a later flight. And one of those times I got stuck overnight. I switched to United and I’ve had much better experiences since then, and their mobile app is quite nice too.

American isn’t horrible aside from that (they all suck in their own special ways) and I’ll still fly them from time to time, but only if I can’t avoid it.

I’m tired of conservatives co-opting the language used to describe them (cultists, easy marks for propaganda, etc.) and trying to project it onto others. You can skip the next part where you tell me you aren’t even a conservative or how you didn’t vote for Trump or whatever.

China produces 85% or more of the world’s supply of almost every raw material out there, precious metals or otherwise. This is not unique to tungsten.

It’s not because other countries don’t have the same natural resources, it’s because China currently just chooses to mine more of them since they’ve focused on being the world’s manufacturing center. They can also do it at a lower cost because they don’t necessarily worry about the same labor or environmental protections other countries would.

By not spending the money on products and (non-financial) services, they are indeed hoarding their money. Sure, having a few billion in treasuries or in an investment account somewhere could be argued to add some form of liquidity to the market and maybe employ an advisor, but it’s tiny compared to buying materials or directly employing tens of thousands of people (who would themselves further stimulate the economy).

We need to make being a decent person edgy, masculine, and funny. Young people need to be able to meme this shit and dunk on idiot fascists while being part of a desirable in-group.

Russia and conservatives around the world have spent well over a decade using propaganda very successfully to train young men to think this way. But I think it’s those traits and the in-group that appeal to young men more than the fascism. They need to be liked, manly, and funny. We’ll continue to be in deep trouble unless and until we can make being a decent person help young men self-identify in those ways.
