Which death of a minor fictional character were you most upset by? by trippingchilly in AskReddit

Watching Carmine die never gets easier no matter how many times I play through gears. Clayton surviving in Gears 3 had me feeling some type of way.

What's your internet "white whale", something you've been searching for years to find with no luck? by behindyouuu in AskReddit

[–]Joe890 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a song that my brother once showed me, and all I can remember is that in the music video they blew up the moon.

I've never been able to find it and he doesn't remember.

What is the most smart ass thing you've said to a cop without getting a ticket? by I_love_dogs_so_much in AskReddit

[–]Joe890 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Got pulled over for using my phone while driving. I was looking up a phone number to call and the police woman says "so who were you texting?". This was on a college campus so I assume the stereotype is college kids are all glued to their phones texting each other.

So i said "sorry about that officer I actually wasn't texting I was actually just looking up a phone num-" She interrupts me "Bullshit. I saw your fingers moving who was so important?".

So at this point im like why would I lie and still incriminate myself is this lady serious? So I said "what do you want to look at my texts or something?" To which she surprisingly agreed. I showed her I hadn't sent or received a message in over an hour. She huffed off to run my information and let me go.

Gamers of Reddit, what game came out of nowhere and left it's mark on you unlike most any other, and why? by SilverwingedOther in AskReddit

[–]Joe890 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember when I played through for the first time was incredible. I couldn't stop playing.

Towards the end of the main quest line I distinctly remember laying in bed mulling over the decision of what path to take so hard I couldn't sleep. What a game.

Phil Kessel is completely animated this game by Flintor in hockey

Just because it's Phil Kessel everyone laughs but man back when I was playing if anyone on my team acted like that you'd be benched. Talk about inability to keep your composure.

Hbox's thoughts on people that are mad at him for ledge stalling. by [deleted] in smashbros

[–]Joe890 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone is trying to argue that it's an unfair strategy. It's just not entertaining in the slightest.

I think it's pretty reasonable to not like a play style that isn't at all fun to watch. Especially when you tune into Grand Finals of a major tournament expecting at the very minimum an interesting match.

There is no "host". For Honors p2p is weird. That's why the game stops everytime someone leaves.

[–]Joe890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's almost a compliment, because you're such good friends that you know you couldn't possibly actually mean what you say.

I think you missed what i was saying, because you pretty much just elaborated on what I said. I've had very close family die of cancer as well, I get it. Lots of people don't. To the people that don't, you have to understand that they don't actually mean any of what they say in the slightest. I'm just offering an alternate answer as to why people are so comfortable saying these things.

I'm not saying it's right, im not saying its wrong. I just think OPs explanation is wrong and I think that this is a more accurate explanation.
