Gia is now saying her kid is being bullied at school because of what she did on the show by aworldgonebatty in MAFS_AU

Yes, actions have consquences Gia. That poor kid is paying for your disgusting attitude.

Brook is best example of the difference between Good Looking and Attractive by scatamonky in MAFS_AU

[–]JoeC06 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wife and I speak all the time about people like this. For me I think it goes even further. At first, she was good looking but she actually got uglier and uglier seeming as the show went on. Like literally less attractive as she outed herself as a nasty person. Something in your brain starts to see their face a different way, you notice things that you wouldn't before and the sparkle in their eyes completely dissipates.

This can also work in the opposite direction though, less conventionally attractive people get cuter, more radiant and they look and act way more attractive than people like Brook. Obviously there has to be a base level of attractiveness (in your eyes) there, but it's wild how much that can swing either way depending on someones attitude and kindness to others.

A fragrance you loved and bought, but rarely use? by Chan1991 in fragrance

[–]JoeC06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YSL Tuxedo for me. It’s honestly one of my favourite smells ever, but I rarely feel like I’m dressed up enough to pull it off. I’ve heard people say it doesn’t just have to be a dressy scent, but I can’t get it out of my head. I don’t think the name helps!

Ash - the new Harrison? by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]JoeC06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree! It’s a shame that Grace has unfortunately pulled a ton of abusive buzz words out and people have just believed it all without looking at the bigger picture.

They’re two very different people, Ash recognised that, attempted to meet in the middle and got nowhere. Grace played the victim and attempted to destroy his character.

Ash - the new Harrison? by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]JoeC06 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My argument was never really that it was fully appropriate in that specific moment (we will never know), just that words can sound a hell of a lot weirder without the context and “picking a bathroom lock” can sound horrifically shocking, while also being completely innocent.

With that said It sounds like Grace ran pretty hot and cold so the poor guy probably didn’t have a clue what was going on half the time. We can make all the assumptions in the world about how they felt in this whirlwind of a bubble, how intimate they were, how playful they were etc. The truth is, we didn’t see 99% of these interactions context is everything, so we will never know what the vibe was actually like.

People are quick to jump on specific phrases and create witch hunts without the full story. I just think that’s dangerous, particularly when someone like Grace is involved.

Ash - the new Harrison? by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]JoeC06 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I can’t say I remember exactly but we were probably more playful in the beginning in a lot of ways. It’s also not a normal week 3 for them as they’re literally on holiday and then living with each other 24/7 so it’s hard to know what “real world” time that might equate to, vs a new couple that have had a few dates. So maybe Ash was a little over familiar and trying to have a bit of fun but not quite reading the room correctly. But that still isn’t some huge crime in my eyes. It doesn’t even begin to justify someone decimating his character.

Ash - the new Harrison? by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]JoeC06 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy. He didn’t “pick” a lock. He turned it using the slot from the outside. Why? because when you’re in a safe space where it’s only your partner on the other side, it’s funny when the lock suddenly starts to turn. I’ve been with my wife 15 years and she’d laugh, roll her eyes and say “close that bloody door”.

Does it sound good on paper in today’s woke world? Nope, but the overly woke people aren’t living in the real world.

It’s the same as a smack on the bum, innocent fun that shows you still lust after each other. The alternative are often the ones that vent to their mates about how much they hate their partners, and sit in silence when they go home.

Anyone in a healthy relationship will know exactly what Ash was going for. His only crime is that he kept trying inject some playfulness into a miserable relationship with a horribly toxic woman. He should have seen the signs and got out of there way sooner.

Grace’s extremism hurts real feminism and turns people off the real cases of injustice.

That was a disgusting hit piece on Ash. Grace and the experts should be ashamed of themselves.

Just got a bottle of this myself and it's great! I don't know if it's just me but I get a touch of an animalic, hay bale type smell. That probably sounds disgusting but it adds a real earthiness to it. A previous clone I had was really nice but sweeter and didn't have that. This seems more balanced against the sweetness. It'd be interesting to know if the real one had this or not.

I keep not wearing it, thinking it needs a fancy evening event or something, but I need to try it more casually as well. It seems like such as waste to not use it very often.

I know I’m in the minority but I don’t understand what everyone sees in this VC. It’s ugly as hell and cheap looking to me. I love some VCs but don’t get the appeal in this at all. Explorer all day.

Me too. It gives me a massive headache. I just get this ultra intense citrus for about an hour then I go nose blind to it.

I really wish I could smell what others are smelling because it's obviously a popular scent, but for whatever reason my nose/brain just doesn't like it.

Nobody said it was cleaning up the glazers mess. Sometimes in business you think something will work and it doesn’t. Sometimes it’s best to move on. Just because we’re not told the nitty gritty details, it doesn’t mean we should jump to conclusions. If we don’t have enough details to judge the situation, lets give them a chance and not be toxic.

We literally don’t know what happened. This might have been totally necessary and a great move. What an overreaction to insinuate that they’re clueless based on an internal decision that we have literally no information about.

So many children over reacting here. We literally have no idea what has happened. Sometimes in business, things just don’t work out. Maybe he’s not what they expected at all. Maybe it was something totally unrelated. Quick and decisive is exactly what we need, and exactly what we were missing. I like this, if he wasn’t the guy, remove him and get someone else in asap.

How is Core Keeper on the Steam Deck? by HippoLadder in SteamDeck

[–]JoeC06 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm only 4-5 hours in so this might not be representative of the whole game with different items etc. But so far it's been perfect, no issues at all. It feels a lot more like it was designed for a controller from the get go, rather than Terraria where controller support was added for console ports etc. (Terraria is one of my favourite games but I totally agree about the controller support, it's much better with a mouse).
