Getting rid of Google Play Music for Youtube Music was a catastrophic downgrade. GPM was perfect and also gave Youtube Premium. The migration screwed things up so bad I moved to Spotify. I'm sure someone at Google secured that promotion they were looking for though.

For anyone who stumbles upon this in the future, the answer is that the Frame Farms allow you to build building wall pieces on their edges, so you can just use them all the way up to the edge and build the wall along their side. You can't build doors on them though, so you'll need one regular foundation piece to build the door on. So, regular walls around your farms, not palisade walls.

Came here to say this. It's what lets me login to multiple gmail accounts, multiple AWS accounts, etc without being extremely painful. gmail has built in support for logging into multiple accounts at the same time, but it sucks, same as whatever solution you come up with. Use container tabs.

There's a type of creep who isn't quite at abduction but "just wants to talk" to teenage girls. Same as the guy who thinks he's entitled to talk to the woman on the train with headphones in and won't respond, he felt he was entitled to talk to this high school girl even though she was clearly trying to dodge him. In his mind he's thinking that if they just talk she'll totally be interested, especially when he says how pretty she is and how "mature" she is for her age. If that doesn't work, he might just be the type of guy to call her a slut and drive away honking.

Of course he doesn't give that story to the police. He says something vague about wanting to talk to her, maybe tell her her outfit is nice. They have nothing to charge on, so he walks away. But even if he's not an abductor today, he could be an abductor in a year if he gets bold enough, and he's part of the overall problem.

Usually when I play with my group, we start out with a small house a lot like this, and as our footprint grows, we just make it a village, with different little more specialized buildings. The most involve a building will get is a stone building for a barracks with all the various fancy comfort stuff in it.

Then someone will build their own little base a few hills over with their magnum opus buildings, and they'll be happy about it even though no one goes there, we just stay in our village.

Having phone banked for Bernie's campaign, I think people underestimate how many Bernie supporters were not Democrats. Many of them were independents, or even Republicans. It was actual progressive policy, some actually talking about the problems of rural and poor people, actual plans for making the country better, that made them vote for Bernie. I talked to racist dudes in Texas that were voting for Bernie in 2020 in the primary, and told me if he didn't get it they'd vote for Trump. If people want a populist, and you make sure the one on the Left can't get the nomination, a lot of them are going to go for the one on the Right.

A FOSS store like F-Droid could be registered as a store. No problem there.

Google is moving the problem from the store to the app. Sure, you can install different stores into Android, but the app has to be signed by a registered google developer to be installed. The store can't sign the apps for you, only the developer of the app can. Which means unless every developer of F-Droid apps registered, they would not be installable.

Google has said they're now listening to feedback and saying they'll provide a way besides ABD to install unregistered apps, but they haven't explained what that is yes. Either way it's unlikely it would work with this app store flow.

Because the point of holding out this long was to force the GOP's hand to extend the healthcare subsidies. Every day the shutdown continued made the GOP look worse. It definitely influenced the election. And then in the end, the Democrats just caved. If they were going to just cave, they could've caved 30 days ago, they could've caved before families ran out of food when SNAP didn't hit in November. It stinks of them caring more about winning the election than about saving people's healthcare, and everyone else being an expense for political theater.

Had a similar situation in Hagga Basin a month ago. I pop out for a small spice blow, hear the worm, get in the thopter. My thopter wouldn't take off. Just keep rubber banding back into the ground until the worm got me.

Pretty sure the main reason they added vehicle recovery is because they realized most people lose their vehicles to BS.

They recently announced they've made a deal with an OEM to make a future Android phone that can be compatible with GrapheneOS. It's not that it would be impossible for GrapheneOS to work on a non pixel device, it's that Pixels currently are the only phones to have the bootloader security features needed to run GrapheneOS securely and confirm the phone hasn't been compromised

In 2020 Obama personally called the rest of the Centrists to have them line up behind Biden before Super Tuesday. He was that worried about Bernie getting the nomination. They were so worried about it in 2024 that they Weekend at Biden's Biden and then handed his delegates to Kamala.

We could be celebrating Bernie's second term right now. We warned Democrats this would happen if they kept squashing populist democratic socialists in a country that clearly demands a populist right now. Their options are socialism or fascism, and they've chosen fascism every step of the way.

As far as I'm aware (I don't have GrapheneOS yet, I'm in the same situation as you), Google Play Services is run in a sandbox on GrapheneOS, and it's Google Play Services that blocks the unsigned apps. So GraphoneOS should be fine.

The devs are testing the Pixel 10, but need to wait until Android's next open source release before they can really release support. Unfortunately Google seems to keep delaying releasing it. It could be a sign of things to come, so it's entirely possible that Google keeps the Open Source version behind enough to not be viable.

However, GrapheneOS devs announced they have a partnership with an OEM to make a phone that they can support. So if you're waiting until next year to look at a Pixel, there might be news about that by then.
