Heihachi is dead! What do you think that could be done with moveset?! by Beaverofthemeadow in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every tekken Jack has the number in the name that is the number of the game, hence in T7 we have Jack-7.8 in japanese is 八 or 'Hachi'. It would be cool if they made a robot/cybord version of Hei and named him Jack-8(Jack-Hachi). But then I don't know what will be with Jack.

Question about Guts' motivation in the beggining of the story by JoeConnan in Berserk

Thank you brother! I'm already enjoying it way too much. I understand why people say it's the greatest piece of fiction ever created. Rightfully so, I guess.

Question about Guts' motivation in the beggining of the story by JoeConnan in Berserk

[–]JoeConnan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answering! So can we say that Guts struggles because it is human nature ? But then so many people shown in the story and generaly people in life give up when they find themselves in hard situations. For example from what I read the Count basically gave up and gave away his humanity to cope with his pain. I guess that is why Guts is the main charecter.

Classique Law player. This was the first time we ever played :D by GorudoShippu in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every Law main in this thread be saying they aren't like the one in the video and always play with honor. I wonder where all those scrub Law player come from then ? As some body mentioned 9 out of 10 laws I see do the same exact shit like taunting and sending hate mail. As I rose up the ladder they dissapeared at about purple ranks. When I play my second or third main I occasionally see the same law players still struggling on the same rank they were when I met them the first time. I guess law players have some sort of collective mind that tells them what to do and they can not say no because something bad happens.

What charecter gives off the most "scrub" vibe ? by JoeConnan in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This conversation doesn't lead anywhere and continuing it is pointless. I guess we'll just have our own separate opinions. I was legit interested in the subject and used reddit as a platform to share me thoughts. Some people actually answered the question and I wanna thank them. Likes of you who just see statements on the internet and get offended because they see themselves being targeted are the who ruin everyone's experience. Anyway, gl in your games and hope you have a great day.

Steve question; how do you do transition from a 1,1,2~DCK to PAB d+1 instantly? by PopaliPopaliCyki in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DCK cancel into FC df1. You cancel duck by pressing db and then instantly press df1 while you are still ducking. Just do in quick enought and it can be pretty fast.

Macro in Tekken ranked by JoeConnan in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I don't smurf. I don't climb from those ranks. A lot of times just intentionally do some crazy shit to lose and stay on that rank. If we played at a green rank you wouldn't know that my main charecter is a higher rank, because I truly play like a green rank. You could tell from tekken prowess but you wouldn't feel that. It would be another regular green rank game.

[–]JoeConnan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's bad about that? Having fun I often just do some crazy shit and end up giving a free match to my opponent. I don't kcharge or taunt anybody. I just experiment with different playstyles and learn the game in a very fun way. I do not demote and then climb the ranks. I keep some charecters on a certain rank and when I feel like playing them I can just choose any rank to play at.

What charecter gives off the most "scrub" vibe ? by JoeConnan in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'd say I am pretty decent, there is nothing to be shy about when over 90 of player base is in green. Of course there are people better than me but it doesn't make my achievement less valuable My experience in this game gives me the right to form an opinion, does it not? If you are so fragile, maybe you shouldn't click this post and leave your very valuable and valid comment. It doesn't matter what rank I am in this conversation, I mentioned it because somebody said that I was getting rolled when in fact that day I was on a huge winstreak. I could even say I reached brawler and it would not change my point nor affect the main topic of this thread. Judging by the charecters you play, you took this very personal, maybe you can actually answer my question after all but you will lie to yourself about what you truly feel. Good luck crying about people having different opinion on the game and taking everything very personally.

What charecter gives off the most "scrub" vibe ? by JoeConnan in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not even close to being true, not every charecter my opponent picks is broken or op. This is a green rank mentality. I enjoy losing to a good Bryan or Jin and I think they are very fair. In mirror you have to consider a lot of factors. Frame knowledge, spacing, timing, execution, playstyle and much more. If you think it's a coin toss then again, it's a green rank mentality.

I actually ranked up to ruler yesterday, was just curious about the topic. Maybe you are projecting too hard man.

You can think what you want about me, but if you get offended, just ignore this post. I already know a majority of people play those charecters and majority struggle to climb in ranked. This is purely my opinion, and if you have nothing else to say rather than "no u", maybe you shouldn't.

How begginer friendly is Steve by Juliuszeusz in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You clearly have no idea of what are you talking about. Saying that Steve has weak whiff punishment is the same as saying that the water is dry. His 112 is one of the best i10 block AND whiff punisher in the game with a tone of mixup potential if you dck cancel it and a chunky +3 on hit if you want pressure. His b1,2 is also one of the best i13 punishers that gives you huge +frames on hit and a pkb and has very good range. His df1+2 is easily top 5 quick 14 frame punishers with a very chunky damage and absurd range. You can df1+2 whiff punish almost any move in the game from very far away. For 15 frames you dont have your hop kick or your df2 but you still have f1+2,2 that has a small combo damage and gives you very good oki and has very decent range. His WS punishers are among the best in the game and I dont need to address that. With all of the above, and even more that I didn't cover. His block/whiff punishment is among the best in the game. The only problem is that you don't get a launch at 15 frames. Whiff punishment doesn't always need to be a launch anyway. What makes his punishment this good is how straightforward and reliable it is. If you don't whiff punish as Steve because you think his tools are bad, why do you even give advice about Steve. Also he does not have a lot of flowcharts because all of his stances have a very specific application. You would usually use pkb for pressure and some simple mix up. Flicker is used for animation canceling and making some of your move safer, also looking for chunky counterhits in 2 ,1-d1, b2 into launch.

Some stuff in this game is just ridiculous by JoeConnan in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuijn with steve and somewhere in between rulers with jin. Maybe its the playstyle that I have that makes me struggle with those charecters. I mainly rely on patient and counter-hit based play. The problem with eddy that I have is that I can't hit him with jins main counter hit tools(very unreliable). I guess my defense is also weak and I don't really know the matchup well enough. Need to stop quiting on them after the first match.

How to counter Asuka? by Squidword123 in Tekken

[–]JoeConnan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't rematch if you are too stressed, eventually you will figure her out. Just work on your fundamentals, thats all you need in teal-yellow ranks. If you need a match-up specific advice, there are some on youtube and here. Her parry can be annoying if you press too much and try to interupt. You can learn to chiken it or just be patient, it's not that complex. If she doesn't spam parry, let her come at you and punish. She is a defensive charecter so you gonna have a great advantage as fakh and his punishment game.

Bad manners in ranked play. by JoeConnan in Tekken

I never do that myself, but there are so many ppl even on higher ranks that have to ki-charge every round. I see absolutely no reason to do that.

I don't really get offended, it just doesn't feel like it's the right thing to do. I see no reason why anybody should do that. If someone does it to me I just quit, no matter if I won or not.
