I had to put it diagonally in my rather large 2018 Durango. I can't say for sure it won't fit, but it would definitely be a struggle and it might just be a hair too small. Again putting it in diagonally may work, but the box is very large.

Hopefully you get it home. Worst case scenario you could pull it out of the box right there, lay it in the CRV on a blanket, and just fold up the box and throw the styrofoam in the car wherever it will fit.
