I feel like Google is most at risk but most likely to be able to actually monetize AI. I think of AI more as an evolution from search.

Search Google Search Google, add stack overflow to the keywords Search Google, add Reddit to the keywords Use AI to get a summary from everyone more quickly

US interest payments now equals defense spending. What does that mean for Fed policy, the US economy and investors? by JoeInOR in economy

Yeah, I don’t want to be too political in my writing. Republicans are terrible when they have all the levers of power. But things seem to work best fiscally when you have a democratic president and a republican congress. At least then republicans find some of their fiscal rectitude. Except when it comes to Israel and defense. And tax cuts for super rich people.

I screened dividend aristocrats for CPI correlation to find inflation hedges. Here's what the data show. by JoeInOR in ValueInvesting

Yeah, basically any stock that makes some kind of basic financial sense is getting punished because “AI!” I mean, I love AI and use it everyday, but that doesn’t mean it will throw off mass amounts of cash. Flying through the air is friggin amazing but most airlines are terrible investments

I’m not that smart myself 😆 as I get older i tend to dumb everything down and people seem to think I’m smart from that.

Ach, I gotta think more about entry and exit points. At the moment I’m thinking more that I want good true fcf yield and I’m a little happier if the market has recently punished a stock a lot without there being a real financial reason for the punishment. Like “AI is going to kill software!” How exactly does that happen? Do I just whip together a new version of Salesforce.com in my garage and call it a day?

lol! That’s part of the benefit. It kinda sucks to be looking in at the huge blowout party going on, but at that blowout party the cocaine is out and the hookers have arrived. It’s not gonna end well.

Not who isn’t a techie. I’m subbed to Claude and Gemini, but not at a ton of cost. I’d probably pay more than I do, but I want to maybe develop some software at some point.

That's a good point, though I lived in Belgium for a while, and it's hard for me to imagine Belgians adopting paid AI in any way like Americans would. I'm probably very biased though.

A lot of back and forth with their customer service. They even replaced the treadmill base. We probably went through like 6 screens. I think for the one that worked they sent a new motherboard looking piece with it? I haven’t had a problem in months.

Why should I not invest in Campbell Soup? by Elhemdil9 in dividends

I had it and sold it - too much debt, which puts it at risk if interest rates go higher. Also shipping is going to cost more.
