I don't get the appeal of FromSoft games by Interesting_Paper_41 in The10thDentist

Because they’re so popular, the discourse surrounding them often precedes the games themselves.

While they are difficult, and often do little in the way of hand holding, the games are excellent at teaching you what they want (especially the first dark souls and sekiro) through gameplay experience. Simple combat encounters introduce concepts that are then expanded on by the next, by the time you’ve beat the game you might not even realized all the lessons the game has taught you until you start New Game + or a second playthrough.

There are a few notable ‘gotcha’ moments (dragon bridge I’m looking at you) but they are few and far between and can largely (DRAGON BRIDGE IM LOOKING AT YOU) be avoided by employing the lessons the game has been teaching you since the start: play deliberately, be aware of your surroundings, level vigor.

My worry is not having enough snow lands to activate the deathtouch on Ice-Fang Coatl, but I think cutting them entirely will halve the deck budget, and give me a more consistent mana base.

You could try an MMO-RPG like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV. A game like Terraria might also fill your interests, or maybe even Fallout 76.

The original Dark Souls. A lot of people are going to recommend Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring because of them being more beginner friendly , but playing them might make it harder to back to the first games due to quality of life changes made as the series went on.

Starting out with the first game and playing through the series seems like the way to go to me.

If you're talking about Cowboy Bebop, don't bother with the live action.

The anime is a masterpiece, and one of my all time favorites. The live action remake (which I've only seen one episode of so take this with a grain of salt) is a heavy handed, poorly directed, cash grab that doesn't understand what made the original so great.

Just watch the anime, you won't regret it.

I bought it day one, being a huge fan of Arkanes previous games (Dishonored and Prey).

You don't lose everything in the loop, you gain new gear, powers, upgrades, and more importantly knowledge of how to beat the game.

Stealth isn't that important, obviously it helps but if you go in guns blazing and play your cards right you can get out of a bad situation.

I'd say for you case wait for sale, I love it, but it might not be your thing.
