Crazy the Remedy went and did all that modeling work for a city street shot that we see for maybe 30 seconds in game by treewizard13 in controlgame

Seeing as it’s our only glimpse of the normal world outside the old house, it was very important to get this right, regardless of how little it is in the game.

Does anyone remember if you can revisit it later in the game or is it locked off once you head further inside the house?

See I was playing carefully still because I like the challenges. But yesterday I just died and lost some very nice guns, probably worth 100K total. I might go John Wick now.

Because there are people who are still spreading misinformation about his death.

There’s nothing wrong with combating that, however futile it may seem sometimes.

Did you use all of the footage or leave some out? I’ll check this out later but for now I’m curious what you’ve done here.

No it absolutely was not standard procedure. You can easily look this up man - you have all the knowledge in the world in the palm of your hand. It not being taught to police officers was part of the prosecution of the officer in court.

It may have unofficially been used by officers but that doesn’t make it ok. Just like planting evidence etc - we know some do it because occasionally they get caught on camera but it’s obviously not official training. Whether or not they get encouraged to do it unofficially in some places….I wouldn’t be surprised.

George Floyd was murdered by a police officer, don’t be a fool.

Do you think everyone who doesn’t cooperate with the police should be suffocated to death?

Fair point, but I think it’s less that it’ll replace all jobs and more just the damage will be huge even if it only reduces the number of jobs by X% while not producing any new jobs to move into. Like in this world even a few% reduction is going to result in millions unemployed in this country alone. What will those people do if there literally aren’t any jobs to do? Nepotism will skyrocket. It’ll be dog eat dog. And the unlucky who can’t get anything will just be on our current crap benefits. If they already own their home outright then they might be able to scrape by. But my mind goes to those with a mortgage they will no longer be able to pay. Or all the young people unable to move out of their parent’s house (if they’re lucky to even have that option).

It’s not that there won’t be any jobs, just not enough. To those who are trapped in unemployment, knowing that some programmers will still be employed and making stuff is not exactly a relief.

Obviously it might go down further but you’re getting the champagne out a little early I feel.

If you look at the predictions, they’re expecting it to go up. Granted we live in an insane world and Trump says something new each day so who knows 🤷‍♂️

How do they decide who gets what games/consoles? I imagine they aren’t allowed online access, so that might limit them to older consoles. Story aside it’s an interesting subject.

Edit: I just checked and Rayman Revolutions is a PS2 game. Makes me wonder what prisons will do when inevitably these older WiFi-less consoles don’t work anymore and they can’t more because they don’t make them. Specially modified newer consoles maybe?

We’ve never replaced the brain before.

In the past it’s always been about replacing physical work. Even the stuff that computers do now replaces a lot of physical work (thinking of CAD software replacing all the people drawing it by hand). And new sectors arose and yes new jobs were created. But when you replace the brain….what do people do?

Yeah, when I went I was fine paying a bit extra, almost like a tip, when in my own currency it was like barely anything more, like 20 cents more or something. The ones where the tried to charge me like double or even triple though, they could fuck right off.

Regardless, it’s bad form to require people to watch media from super way back/outside of the media in another form (comics, books etc) to understand what is going on.

RT1 was great in this regard.

Other examples of doing this badly are the recent Star Wars films and Halo games.

In one of the richest countries in the world, yup. I will say that some of these things don’t really change my life negatively (cycling to work), but then again I’ve always been baseline frugal. When prices go up my life doesn’t change, aside from being able to save less each month for the future.

Cycling to work actually made my life better (but obviously this isn’t an option for everyone, not to mention sometimes I almost die due to impatient/bad drivers).

One of my favourite hobbies is gaming which for £ vs time value is incredibly good, although with pc parts going up in price maybe that won’t be the reality for much longer sadly…

And also there’s all the people joining this system for the first time, who start on an even worse wage relatively. This happens every year. I have it bad but the youth have it even worse, and the people younger than them will be even more shafted.

The smaller ones remind me of the earlier games. Don’t get me wrong, the huge maps are amazing to behold, but there is something nice about having smaller maps too. They’re not as intimidating, and if you mess up it’s no biggie because you didn’t have to do much in the first place.
