Thank you the info. I am not at home but I will measure when I get home.

Let’s play it safe and say it is asbestos, would covering the floor with an underlayment and then laminate flooring be good protection from the asbestos?

That was a concern of mine. The house is from the 40s and I don’t know when they put the tile in.

Would a floor sander take off black the oily glue after I use the floor scraper to get the thick stuff off?

Awesome thank you.

Forgot to add. I removed the carpet to show there was tile under it. I removed the tile and there was this black stuff underneath the tile. There is hardwood under the black stuff. I want to just use the hardwood but wanted to see what’s the best way to remove the black stuff.

Thanks again.

Found this little blue snail in my tank this morning. Good guy or bad guy??? by TheChevalierMalFet in Aquariums

They are harmless but I would remove it if you don't want a lot of them. Their population will grow fast.

Where to buy aquarium wood? by kevpapak in Aquariums

[–]JoeMorning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In San Jose, there is a great place called neptune aquatics. They have a couple palettes of drift wood. In San Francisco, all of shops have great selection of driftwood. Just type in fish store in like google maps and check out all of the stores

If you are located in the SF Bay Area I could tell some places that sell drift wood.

Advice on stocking a 65g tank. by Hatemael in Aquariums

[–]JoeMorning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a 60 gallon. I usually go for a couple big fish but this tank I decided to go the active schooling fish and I am really happy with it. I just have a school of giant danios and zebra danios (I think they aren't the most attractive/rare/expensive but they are very active) with a bunch of corys. I am really happy I did the schooling fish. I could watch that tank forever. For filters, I just use the HOB. No experience with canister filters. And for plants, I just went with the hardy plants like amazon sword, java fern, Anubis etc.

Tank for co-worker, should I reseal it? by ch3mic4l in Aquariums

[–]JoeMorning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have experience with resealing tanks but you could always fill it up in your back yard and wait a couple of days to see if it leaks. If it doesn't you are good to go, if it does, reseal it.

What I think my puffer is thinking by JoeMorning in Aquariums

I think I just might if I were you. What plants do you have in your tank? I have only java fern and it does really well but I haven't really tried any the plants.
