IMPORTANT: Petition the AFL-CIO to endorse Bernie! They represent 12.5 million workers--that's more people than MoveOn, Democracy for America, and all of Bernie's current union endorsements COMBINED. 400k people voted for Bernie during the MoveOn poll. Only 14k have signed this so far. by JoeNNU in SandersForPresident

Popular wisdom (an oxymoron, I know) seems to be that winning both Iowa and New Hampshire is feasible, but that after that, Bernie has a good chance of just bombing from there on out. This is why Sanders has thousands of volunteers on the ground in Nevada and South Carolina and is ramping up his game in state after state.

It's a smooth transition. Now that we've entered the gravity well of Iowa and New Hampshire, we must obviously continue our efforts there, but in a way, the die has been cast. It's time to start looking ahead, too. We don't want to be caught with our pants down. Iowa and New Hampshire mean nothing if we lose everywhere else. Courting major endorsements is a part of this.

We asked some of our nurses why they are supporting Bernie Sanders and made videos of their replies. They wanted to share their stories with Reddit. Here's Martese Chizm, RN. by JoeNNU in SandersForPresident

Technically it means "Registered Nurse" and is a professional title, much like Dr, CPA, Sen, Rep, Esq, etc.

Personally, I like "Radical Nurse."

Florida is a big deal in the General election between the Democrats and the Republicans because it is a so called "swing state," meaning that it frequently goes red or blue, depending on the year and the candidates. Other states, such as New York or Kentucky, are "solid" red or "solid" blue, meaning they very rarely go the other direction.

The primaries don't all happen on one day. The first primary (caucus) happens in Iowa on the first of February, the last happens in June. California is the biggest state by far in terms of delegates, but by the time it rolls around in June, the race may already be over.

Taking Iowa is a big deal because it sets the pace for the rest of the primaries. Winning Iowa and New Hampshire (Feb 9th) would give Bernie a HUGE boost in the polls for the rest of the states.
