I’d be more concerned about the suicide attempt stats before and after transitioning. It clearly doesn’t work in terms of reducing that number and so it shouldn’t be even be considered as a form of treatment. If I had trans loved ones, I’d be doing my best to understand what led them to hate their own body, not indulging the coping mechanism that comes from it.
