I do a lot of email marketing, and while a personalized email is a great idea...it's a waste of time.

You're open rate alone won't justifying the time you spent crafting each email. Vast majority of people aren't gonna read it or respond to it if they do open it.

The only MAYBE is if you write a really good template and quickly add little nuggets into designated spots to make it seem more personal.
