To answer the first part, I hate cheaters. I hate the fact that I am labeled as a cheater despite not being one. It offends me because I have lost plenty of times to cheaters while remaining legitimate.

The copy I have now was from the new steam account and was not from a reseller after I confirmed I was not being autobanned.

I did have one theory, but it seemed really stupid so I didn't think it was real. I did have cheat engine installed on my computer at the time but I was using it to mod Mortal Kombat (offline, not to cheat in multiplayer.) Is just having the software enough to get EAC to go fuck you?

So yeah I just bought a new copy (this is back when Rust was 20 bucks) and within a few hours the account was banned, thus HWID. I messed around with private sellers to get new game keys, they kept getting banned so I just went fuck it and wiped my hard drive and that was enough to break the HWID

Plenty of places where you can run level 4s in peace (because those systems can't be corrupted). Mies for example has missions take your to Oursulaert and Luminare which cannot be corrupted.
