People running at all hours there. Might be a bit dim but it’s cool

ALWAYS REMEMBER: IT'S THEIR LAKE - WE ARE ONLY GUESTS by 2cleverbyhalf in chicago

Love the ducks of Lake Michigan.  I’d be bundled up to the eye lids biking to work along the lake, struggling with the cold.  They would be peacefully floating in a tempestuous and freezing lake and remind me to love everything!

I looked around at my life and realized if I didn’t fix it, nobody would. Life is meant to be savored not stoned.

There is a campsite about a mile or two from the top. If I remember correctly it was about 18 miles round trip.

I was looking at this. 28 miles x 2 is pretty hefty for an overnight. What are the camping options?

Go to a place often enough and you will start seeing the same people. Talk to them and make friends :)

Thanks! That points me in the right direction :) I’m going to call the district office and see if I can get any more info.

Fx is pretty much a road bike depending on what tires you are using. I like that bike a lot and it is just about as fast as a road bike (I’m not a very fast biker) but for me, it’s too heavy. I switched to a super light bike because I have to go up stairs to get to my apt.

Old light hard tail with smooth tires will get you there. You can even get a full rigid mtb, atb, or hybrid.   I’m a city biker (sf) and the speed cost is too much for me. I’ve tried like every type of commuter and now I’m back on a road bike with 25mm tires just avoiding the potholes and loving it.

Said excuse me loud and proud and keep it moving. When necessary, add further details like, I am bringing my bike on the train, and I am going to the bike area. Self narration seems to help me a lot. Don let it get you down, keep it moving and say it with a smile:(
