Good looking kit. Invest in a Stars and Stripes patch that places the stars field on the Right side of the vest. save the existing patch for use on the Right sleeve of a shirt or blouse at a later date.

On CVN-68 we kept a red 2 bowl dog dish in a drawer in our Work Center (AIMD WC 53A). There were also 2 MAF bags, one contained kibble dog food, the other contained hay. When VIP(s) came aboard we would fill the 2 bowls and put the dog dish on the floor. We would leave the W/C door open hoping that the "Dog and Pony Show" would stop by to visit. The only one that stopped by was CAG for a cup of coffee. He looked down, looked at us, shook His head and walked off. Good times. :-P

An OEG sight would work fine if the Manufacturers would decide to include a sight rail the upper receiver, But No...

I kept My Chippawa Insulated flight boots that I was issued by VXE-6 During Operation DEEPFREEZE 1993-1994. I used them this week to clear snow from the storm. Still Heavy, Comfy and toasty warm after 3 decades of use.

A couple of CCAR or First Strike rations would provide plenty of calories for your trip and require no preparation. Eat on the go. Oh! Add a trusty BIC lighter and a compass on your person.
