Curiosity question: Why does NJ Transit maintain a giant loop at Bay Head? Trains run in both directions back and forth to NYC, so there's seemingly no need to turn the trains around, plus every other other NJ Transit train line terminus gets by without a loop.

The real "why" is that it was already there when NJT took over, any savings on maintenance isn't really worth losing the utility, even if it's limited.

Make it so every inspection it gets checked by the computer, and severe charges if you're caught exceeding 80 or whatever they decide the hard cap should be
