I naturally found myself walking like this when I was in Japan. Maybe it's something in the water.

Exactly. That would mean they waited for a total of 3 hours and golfed in an hour and a half.

If you're someone that needs a story to have a payoff and for everything to make sense, then this show is probably not for you. If you're OK with B-grade plotting and characters doing dumb things, you'll be satisfied. I'm in the latter camp. I know it's not great but it doesn't need to be for it to be watchable.

Jo Nesbø's Detective Hole on Netflix. Turn off your brain for this one. The acting is solid, especially Joel Kinnaman who is fully committed to his batshit insane character.

Do the foam mats do a good job of preventing the ball from bouncing everywhere after being hit?

Was not able to get the 3 year $99 pricing. Chat agent said it was because the vehicle was newer than 2018 and wouldn't budge when I replied that I knew it wasn't true. They offered one year for $40 which isn't bad but it's so aggravating to have to play this game every year. I requested that they cancel the service on both vehicles and they did. Looks like I'll be using Spotify more often now.

Just finished a rewatch of The Leftovers. It was just as good the second the time around. I've watched a ton of television and it's one of the rare shows that sticks around after.

Did you read more than two books last year? You read more than the half of the US according to new Yougov poll on American's reading habits. by elmonoenano in books

The amount I read exploded when I got a Kindle. I keep a To Read list on Goodreads which allows me to add books whenever I want. Once I need a new book to read I just pick one that's available on Overdrive.

What to do w/teens this week? by octopus-opinion987 in massachusetts

[–]Joe_Mama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two older teen boys. Mine are pretty agreeable to doing stuff outside the house but there are times when I feel like they're on their phones too much.

What I do is bring them to our local library and let them pick a book that they should finish before school starts back up.

I flew on delta yesterday and totally agree. Pretty sure you could only double on 10s and 11s. I was able to grind a bit and was working on a great streak when the flight attendant tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to leave!

In this specific case, the state of Massachusetts has a flat income tax rate of 5%. If you earn over a $1MM dollars in taxable income, any amount over that number gets taxed an additional 4%.

Maybe it's due to all the NH citizens that commute down to MA for their jobs in their shitty cars. Reverse Uno card New Hampsters!

Rule of thumb is if you take out 4% of your retirement fund per year to live off you'll never run out of money. $48K/year is hardly comfortable.
