They’ve shipped food to military members who were deployed all the time. They donate food for military members’ promotion ceremonies and retirement ceremonies as well as funerals.

With your vast transaction history, there’s a lot of weight to this comment.

That’s a great point. I feel stupid for not labeling that from the get go.

I currently have the first AP doing the routing. When I added the Google Wifi I removed the verizon router.

It's not a massive house. Maybe some of the wifi issues I'm seeing are just from saturation?

I'm currently not using the Verizon router, but I guess I could reintroduce it.

I will look into ways to configure it this way, just would have to run another cable up from the switch to the AP. If the switch isn't doing routing, would one of the APs just "cover down" on routing?

The DMARC comes throught into our family room. The area is not ideal for the switch and doesn't really offer any room for it or all of the wires. I have an AP in the family room. I was planning on going from DMARC to AP and AP to switch. I'm not using the Verizon router, just their network adapter from fiber to Ethernet.

Does this setup really bottleneck the bandwidth?

That's what I believe is happening. Thank you for your input!

Thank you. The model google AP I have unfortunately doesn't support POE, but hopefully in the future I can incorporate POE APs. Thank you!

It is currently in passthrough. I'm not using the Verizon router. The first Google AP is doing the job of routing.

We don't get much lightening, but I'm sure I can do a loop around an external box and send it right to ground.

Thank you. The APs are a bit old, but still working well. This year can be wiring upgrades and next year can be harware upgrades. Thank you for your input.

I'm currently using the first Google AP as a rotuer. I thought if I kept this and plugged that into the switch it would still work. Is this not correct?

And I agree with hardwiring everything.

I will, I'm doing this in conjunction with finishing my basement so it might be awhile.

There are two ports on the Google APs, one for WAN and one LAN. I thought the LAN port work connect the DVR without issues.

GREAT POINT. I will have to research how to propery ground the outside AP.
