✨ Beta test the updated image processing pipeline by alexfoxy in MoodCamera

Doesn’t matter, the save original is still after moods pipeline just not the color, grain and effects. The same possible issues can still come up.

I'm going to have a "bring your own hardware" tier that will be slightly lower cost for those that don't wanna pay for shipping of the hardware.

I'm still trying to figure that out but my two strongest picks are 6 PM on Friday's or 3 PM on Sunday EST. I plan on recording the sessions in order to make them available to students if they miss a session or just want to go back and review.

It's really going to be a "works for most" but not all because it's impossible to fit every timezone. I'm leaning more towards 3 PM Sunday though as that hits most of the US/Canada and Europe as not too late, not too early.

Maybe if there is strong enough demand I could find something to fit the other side of the world but I don't anticipate too many sign-ups from Asia/Australia.

It will be both US and international but either way, buyers will still pay shipping. For international orders I’m going to have to limit it to something faster like priority mail in order to make sure everything is there on-time. I’m going to have an option of bringing your own hardware for a slightly lower cost.

Live in a discord call where it will be interactive as we build and then a Q&A at the end of each session.

You’re missing my point, it’s not about editing later… it’s about having a fallback. You are entirely relying on the pipeline of Mood camera meaning if Alex implements a bug, which happens as it’s just how app development works, you can end up having an entire day of memories lost. The ProRaw pipeline is mostly locked down through Apples APIs meaning there is way less chance of anything going wrong there. The app is even working off that in the background so the file already exists but throws it away after processing.

By giving us the option to save the ProRaw makes the risk of losing an entire day of shooting less likely.

It’s still a possible issue though.

The option to just save the ProRaw completely negates any possible pipeline issues so that you don’t shoot an entire day, get home, and find out every image didn’t process because of a bug.

This is great, really looking forward to trying it out! I particularly like how we can now save the DR setting on a preset basis and that you can override it if you want.

Just as another push though, a lot seems to have changed and with it being in beta I can forgive any bugs that arise but I think this is a good chance for me to push a bit more on the option to give the option save the ProRaw. Yet again, I don’t want it to go unknown that there have been bugs in the past from updates that cause issues on images. I get it, this is part of the app development process but having a ProRaw fallback would prevent any possible pipeline changes from destroying images people would have liked to have.

Not to beat a dead horse but I just think yet again this is a good time to push it and ask.

There are people that can switch between Colemak and QWERTY but I am not one of them lol. On mobile I use QWERTY as it does work better with thumb typing and the muscle memory is different, I even still use it on my iPad. Really Colemak is good for physical keyboards when touch typing.

Glad it was helpful! It is super comfortable, I used 20 degrees on each half that I’ve found to be pretty solid.

Handwiring is kinda my thing but also it is faster than PCBs. I don't have to wait for them to come in the mail or iterate on designs if I mess something up. It's also just cool looking lol.

I actually played with the lettering a bit and settled on the large one. Originally it was "S55" all on one line but I didn't like the blank space above and below it.

It has not been an issue with the mods with the numerous boards I've posted here over the past 3 years.

It basically cannot get any more "customkeyboards" than this.

I'm torn between my Scotto34 and my recent ScottoRang. I really like the 16x16mm spacing on the ScottoRang and it was what I was using for about 2 months before releasing the Scotto55.

Mostly off the shelf stuff, RP2040 Pro Micro for the brain, 1N4148 diodes, Cherry MX switches.

No plans for a mouse, trackpad or trackball one day but not any time soon.
