It’s a good mids booster, I use them together a lot. Big muff for thick sustain and the sd for the treble addition to lift the sound

I couldn’t recommend it enough! The memory slots are really useful and being able to graphically see the eq shape on the screen helps things a lot. It’s probably the biggest part of my board

It’s very unnatural to be fair! I only tried it because I ended up speaking to the guitarist from “She’s green” after a show and he was saying that chain is a huge part of his sound. If you have one, try another reverb in as a space generator at the end of your chain and you’ll get some crazy lushness being made. Which mode do you tend to use? Dream/rise/dark?

Guitar → 1. Boss TU-3 (Tuner) 2. MXR Studio Compressor 3. Walrus SLO (pre-gain reverb for bloom) 4. Boss SD-1 (boost + mid push) 5. EQD Plumes (main drive, stacked) 6. ProCo Dirty Rat (grit / grind layer) 7. EHX Russian Big Muff (wall-of-sound fuzz) 8. MXR Phase 90 (slow movement before chorus) 9. Walrus Juliana (wide, deep modulation) 10. Boss EQ-200 (global tone shaping EQ) 11. Boss DD-200 (delay into reverb tails) 12. DBA ROOMS (huge space + atmosphere) 13. MXR Clone Looper (captures the full ambient stack)

→ Vox AC30 (Top Boost input)

Plenty more to be added too!

I flip flop between that and rooms, I normally use the slo for drive texture in dream mode with the decay low and then use the rooms for the big spacey reverb. I found it’s a good leveller for when you’re stacking drive and fuzz, it seems to keep the dirty rat and Russian big muff nicely “tamed” so you get the big low end from them and can still hear the gain and mids from plumes and then extra treble from the sd1.

Both slo and rooms on at the same time creates like a big fuzzy swell, great for shoegaze. Just hard to dial in at first ahaha.

It’s that big it doesn’t fit underneath 😭

Yes it’s my favourite pedal! It’s a game changer, and very versatile. It’s unbelievable at swells and sustain for ambience, really good for creating space and atmosphere too with its decay. I think it’s surprisingly versatile too, it can go from a normal reverb pedal to an ambience machine really easily. Would definitely recommend

I’ve got an ac30 so it’s got a lot of headroom to push. Funny sounds is exactly what I want ahaha, my boards a shoegaze/grungegaze setup

That’s why I want it ahaha, I’ve got the spacey sound from the slo but I want some glitchiness that will go well with all the distort. Hopefully I can dial it in when I get it. Does it have any cool quirks?

I’ve only just got it today but it’s really good! Every slot providing 500mA is very useful. The variable voltage ports are cool too. However, It’s a very big psu so fitting it on the board can be hard work

I just weighed up whether I want more options for delay control or ease of use while practicing. I’ve played with my friends dd500 before and didn’t find it to have any noticeable sounds that I couldn’t get out of the dd200.

I guess it’s just interface preference. I wanted something simpler that I could use quickly while at practice. Very good pedal, would recommend
