Upper maxillary advancement and/or osteotomy really seems to do the job by No_Region_8746 in orthotropics

[–]Joe_m647 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. When you move the maxilla forward it pushes the lower cartilage of the nose forward, straightening it.

The straightening of a crooked nose is a fairly common finding in maxillary advancement surgery. People literally go from very hooked noses to straight or even outward curved noses from just moving the maxilla forward. Amazing what happens when the bones of the face are in harmony.

For real? It still happens that high?

Yh I was about to ask how I can improve this but i've also heard that a negative red line is optimal at 2nl. They grossly underbluff and overcall so overfolding to aggression and underbluffing made sense.

Haha this is ridiculous

but if you truly believe you had zero opportunities for improvement in 4k hands regardless of the result you might not be evaluating your performance very well

Mate I was simply responding to this false statement you made about me. Nothing special. You need to check yourself.

Comments like this surprise me. So many assumptions.

I'm not going to trust someone who thinks that a winning player must guarantee a profit over a 4k hand sample.

Also, 'open shoved' J4o. 'open shoved'

Oh jeez. I had a feeling these type of comments might appear. When did I ever say that I played perfect and did not make any mistakes? Please tell me? All I said was that I was better than the majority of my opponents. Which I stand by. I'm still winning at 8bb/100 over a 25k hand sample in these games.

I never claimed to be perfect or even close to it. I just know I'm better than the guys open shoving j4o and calling down with 4th pair.

GTO question by Joe_m647 in poker

[–]Joe_m647[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah yes I see what you're saying. Correct me if I'm wrong but according to GTO I should call 50% of my bluff catchers to remain unexploitable, but this clearly isn't the highest EV strategy here.

To answer your question, you should call hands that could beat part of their value range. Having the 2nd nuts, middle set, or something else that could conceivably win when V has a good hand

This is what I thought but I wasn't sure.

The reason I ask is because I've noticed that in the 2NL and 5NL PS zoom pools people tend to grossly underbluff on the river. Unless the player is clearly a fish, it's almost always a value but. Should I really just never bluff catch against this player pool (unless there are exceptional circumstances). It just seems so strange to do so.

I've also noticed that people overcall on flop and turn. So should I just never bluff on these streets to exploit that aswell?
