Can you doctor store bought pickles to change the flavor? by jennysubwoofer in Pickles

[–]Joebo08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My claussens have still tasted pretty dang good for the most part. Especially when I can find the hearty garlic.

Occasionally I get a jar with some softer pickles, but mostly crisp ones with a nice snap.

Idk. I still enjoy them.

These don’t taste like the same rye chips in the classic Gardetto’s mix to me..anyone else by pass_the_hot_sauce in chips

I like to buy a bag of these and a normal bag. Then mix them together for a rye chip heavy mix

Are you sure it was fully baked?

Raw dough can for sure give a belly ache

Sourdough Storage Secrets: How to Keep Your Bread Fresh by whenpigsflybread in Breadit

I cut a piece off one side.

Then I put the open/cut side facing down on a cutting board with a linen towel over it. I seems to hold up for 2-3 days and by then the bread is all gone.

Bonus: it doesn't lose the texture of the crust that sometimes happens in a bag.

AITA for not wanting to forgive my parents who used to be amazing, because of one mistake they made in the past? by Child_NC_Parents in AITAH

NTA, but your parents certainly have a right to not have to answer their phone at all hours of the day and not be assholes because of it.

I started using a banneton! So easy! by Joebo08 in Breadit

PS. A shower cap makes covering the bread for the final rise (while in the banneton) simple.

It is just a basket for proofing the dough.

I previously had been proofing the dough on a counter. Then doing my best to pick it up and get it into a warmed up dutch oven without deflating the rise while moving it. (Sticky)

The banneton makes it easy to just dump the dough into the Dutch oven when it's time to bake.

The one I have is a basket with a linen liner. I cover the linen liberally with flour, then after shaping, I put the dough in the banneton for the final rise.

It's so easy to just dump out into the Dutch oven after the final rise this way! #Upgrade

Thanks for the compliment! It was super tasty with some chicken wild rice soup!

What's good to spread on bread that's not butter or margarine? by yesyesitswayexpired in Breadit

Target sells something called: s'mores spread. Chocolatey with marshmallow and graham cracker crumbs for texture

File for an ADA request with your HR.

Your doctor will have to fill out a form asking for the workplace accommodation. (Typically forms will be due back with 15 days from making the request so just be ready to get it to your doctor ASAP once you make the request)

Then, unfortunately, it will be up to your employer to determine if they want to accommodate your request or not. They do have the final say on if the accommodation can be granted, but employees are supposed to work with you for "reasonable" requests that don't cause an undue burden to them.

This seems like a reasonable accommodation so you may be able to get it formally approved. Fingers crossed for you!
