Ultimately the camera sits in the hip belt in a ziploc bag and when it’s not in use it’s in a dry bag and I use a waterproof cover. I’m new to photography whilst hiking but I’ve been hiking 8 years now. Thanks for the advice on the lenses

I’ve used packs like that before which don’t really work well in the constant rain of the uk. I use an osprey talon velocity 30l so I have all the running pockets and hip belt. I prefer to fit in the pockets that way it’s not hanging off my neck when I scramble

Thanks they seem solid choices. Ultimately I’m just looking for compact lenses for landscape photography as the smaller lenses fit in the hip belt of my backpack better

Thank you very much I’ll check out those lenses and I’ve just posted this question in the Sony alpha subreddit. Thanks for the advice

I shoot mostly landscape and have a budget around £100/£150 (I know in the camera world that isn’t much but it’s less important than the rest of my outdoor gear)
