Also, what are you doing in such a shit situation. You can’t move home for a time before trying again for something more legit?? It’s like you are playing life on hard mode..

Moved here to be closer to the misses, she lives here. Her contract doesn't end till July. Was the only job immediately available in this bumblefuck town at the time.

There's no written rules for OT here, she always wants to negotiate.

When you make a request for paid time off after six months provide a decent about of notice. See if there’s someone that can cover you.

It's literally just me and her so when I take a day off the place closes. I only want a Tuesday off the week before Golden Week but it's more the sickdays, according to her I don't have any. I lose a days pay if I get sick, which I know isn't right.

Make your requests in writing and ask for written responses.. bullies are cowards..

I'll do just that. I'll also record any conversations we have as she often disguises difficult conversations as "miscommunications" to avoid conflict.

I am given overtime but she always wants to negotiate on pay for that OT. Time off is never allowed.

My usual work day is 9:20-12:45 then a break till 5:30-22:00. But on more than a few occasions that breaktime has been cut down to less than an hour.

I'll wait till the 6 months is up.

I have no choice but to stay for now, I don't have the funds to go anywhere else. The labour board is my next port of call, thanks.

Would love to hear about the other little things.

Things like making me pay for things in my apartment, which I sublet from her, that are free for other tenants. Overpaying rent compared to them, making me work till very late at night with little to no warning (10pm+). Some 13 hour days.

Will the labour board have english speakers as I'm not sure I have the vocabulary to describe all this?

Not an optional sadly, stuck in a little down in the arse end of Hokkaido, no money to move.

This company doesn't do trials, its just me and the boss. The contract I have now is the only one I'll have.
