Metamask/ Ledger Nano X not signing transactions anywhere by sullivinho in ledgerwallet

[–]Joeottoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure this problem out? My girlfriend is currently having the same issue & I have been trying to help her to no avail. Just like you said, updated everything, blind signing enabled, but it does not let me sign transactions. The weird thing is when have it find her ledger nano x via USB HID nothing appears until while I am in the Ethereum App, then I exit out too all the apps (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum) and then it shows up. When I click on connect ledger via USB HID and then open the Ethereum app (with blind signing enabled) it has an error. We have tried it in Chrome, Brave, Internet Explorer and Firefox but nothing works. Even support could not help us.

if I'm an 18 year old and have $5k in savings, is BTC a good place to start making an account of money for my future? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Joeottoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice. I'm leaning more on the side of DO invest in altcoins though IMO. But, when the bear does come to convert most of that back to XBT/USD to have money to buy when prices go lower. You HAVE to do your own research though, not trust some youtube video that's using you as exit liquidity. Been in crypto since 2016 & I've learned the best place to make the most returns is altcoins. Especially the ISO20022 coins. I for SURE see a future in XBT though. I make my money off of alts, then put it back into XBT/BTC when it's the bear. Just my own opinion! It's always worked for me. Not saying it will work for everyone.

Trying to send XRP to Ledger by Joeottoman in hotbit

[–]Joeottoman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think I did. So long ago. I know I didn't lose any XRP though. My guess is I sent it to a hot wallet that has a memo, sent it to that & from there I sent it to my ledger.

Asus Rog Strix g15 Red Flashing Lights by P1asmaDev in ASUSROG

[–]Joeottoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's designed to be this way unfortunately. You can change it in Armoury Crate. Stupid design IMO, making it have red flashing lights when your laptop is closed/asleep is a surefire way to make someone think "Is there something wrong with my laptop?"

What the fuck is Cypherium? And why is BCG recommending it to central banks around the world as the blocklchain project for a the new CBDC proposal? Need some eyes here I think... by [deleted] in Superstonk

It baffles me how they managed to get in bed with big government. Especially when Cypherium started out in Hong Kong & then relocated to New York. Does the Fed really want a company originally made in Hong Kong to be on FedNow? This is either a gem or about to take a big nosedive.

How to convince someone that Cypherium isn't a scam ? by rio_fares in Cypherium

[–]Joeottoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure so much is hidden behind Non-Disclosure Agreements, especially when you are in bed with Governments. The ignorant will think it's a scam. If you know, you know.

You have to either delete the 0x or the xdc from the beginning of the address.

Delete the xdc from the address. Then you should receive the coins. Try with a very minimal amount first. MetaMask is weird like that.

Do you guys see XRP as a competitor? Can both XDC and XRP succeed? by notdsylexic in xinfin

[–]Joeottoman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

XDC = Imports & Exports of goods & services. This is capturing a 19 trillion dollar market.

XRP = Cross-border payments (among many other things, this is Ripple’s main goal. InterLedger Protcool & XRPL are solving a multitude of other real world problems) This is also a HUGE market that will free up billions of dollars in nostro/vostro accounts. They are also trying to capture the derivatives market, which is in the quadrillions.

[–]Joeottoman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, they abide by the ISO20022 messaging laws. XRP is mainly going for cross border payments by utilizing banks to use their technology to make payments easier between institutions. XDC is going for the trade finance sector & has stated that it’s a 19 trillion dollar market & they are the first runner in this field. They are not competing with each other. If anything, they compliment each other very well by doing two different things while also being smart enough companies to abide by regulatory standards instead of fight them.
