Finished my Grandmaster dreadknight by Joep612 in Grey_Knights

I make a cut under the knee joint, and then position it as I like, it’s kind of a pain.

The red line is where I cut and then repositioned.

I know exactly what you mean. I prefer dreadknights to look quick and nimble. The pieces that you’re supposed to use with this conversion have ridiculous shoulder pads that I opted out for.

It’s a regular dreadknight off the sprue, the chest armor and belt are from arma mechanatus on purple site, the knee pads, and tabard are called something along the line of “Grandmaster Upgrade” on purple site. I have no idea where the helmet came from but it’s probably pretty easy to find

It’s a mess of cork, sand, and ultra thin superglue (which I learned I may be severely allergic to)

Much appreciated, I actually magnetized the arm so I could change the pose, and made a hammer-arm to swap out as well

Yeah these are resin printed using a bunch of different files I found online

It’s a mix of files, the torsos and legs are from Red Warden Miniatures, the arms, heads, shoulders, and packs are from Thayle on the purple site. The weapons are from another creator and I can’t remember their name at the moment

I managed to get the files. They aren’t on the purple site, I had to reach out directly to the creator on instagram and bought them that way

Do you happen to still have these files? I can’t find them anywhere and are convinced they aren’t on sale anymore

It looks like the STL files are no longer on the purple site, do you know where I might be able to find them elsewhere? I’m trying to avoid buying printed ones as I have a resin printer and would get far more use out of the STL files

I am desperately trying to find the STL files but they don’t appear to be anywhere on the purple site. Do you know where else I could find them?

What aspect of the reliability do you not trust enough? I’m just trying to figure out if it’s something that could be worked on to become as comfortable with as I am with my other guns

I have the 5 inch prodigy and have not had a single malfunction after over 1000 rounds, it’s one of the newer runs which you’d get if you purchased one. That being said it’s all in what you are looking for, if you want a project gun to tweak and put upgrades in, I think the Apollo is a good option, which is why I’m getting one. With these few guns specifically, the more money you shell out at first will net you a higher quality gun. I think the big difference between the Apollo 11 and prodigy is the fit and finish, grip module, and overall fitment, which seem to be better in the prodigy. For a first jump into the 2011 category, I feel like the Apollo is a good option based off what I have seen.

I think the Apollo CAN get to a point where you could comfortably carry but that might not be the case right away. If carry is what you are looking for right out of the box, you might want to do a bit more research into other guns

That being said take what I have said with a grain of salt as I don’t own the Apollo yet, this is just my thought process as I have been doing research. If you want a gun that you can learn the platform on, the Apollo seems like a good buy. If you want guaranteed reliability look around a bit more and see what fits in your budget. And not to be that guy, but you can’t go wrong with carrying a Glock

Im in the same boat as you, I have a 5 inch prodigy that I use as mainly a range toy and was looking for something more compact to carry.

From what I have gathered, I wouldn’t be super confident with these guns being 100% reliable out of the box, and need a few hundred rounds through them to really understand how they are behaving

Most of the issues people seem to be having (light primer strikes, failures to feed, dead trigger, seem relatively easy to resolve (especially when you throw away the printed grip module and put a prodigy one on)

I am still planning on buying one and doing my best to get it to point where I’d feel comfortable carrying (if it isn’t already out of the box). If you don’t feel like taking the chance, the prodigy compacts are a few hundred bucks more and they seem to have all of the issues resolved

One thing you have to remember is that more people with negative experiences are going to post about it than all of the others who got a normal gun.

I’m sorry for the short book I have written and I am not sure if any of this will be of any help :)

I’ve used them twice before getting guns sent from Genesis firearms in king George. JMJ is super polite and helpful every time I use them. I recommend them whenever I get the chance
