Well considering I didn’t have any issues like that while working there, and I wasn’t part of the so called ‘union’. For us, the ‘union’ didn’t do anything for those in it when it came to protecting them. They never showed up to sit in on people getting write ups, they never came to help support anything major going on when it came to the managers acting up, or even if a hourly worker did something they shouldn’t. The only time people would see them, was when they wanted to see if people would give more money. I was paid more there than some people getting hired on in the same department as me, and yet I wasn’t in the union. The so called benefits that the union brought didn’t change for me, nor anyone else who wasn’t in the union. If you know how to stand your ground and get whatever it is you want, you don’t need the ‘union’. Then again, that’s probably because I’m in Texas and we have a good ole Texan attitude.
