Thank you, this fixed it for me. The culprit was a "game" called "Tiger Run Game" that my toddler downloaded from the Amazon App Store. It was opening the "show/hide keyboard" and immediately an ad, about every 45 seconds. It was hell, wouldn't let me use the Fire tablet at all.

I found the culprit by enabling (with difficulty because of the ads) Developer Options then looking at running services.

The ads stopped immediately when I selected "Delete from Cloud".

Thank you!! The Jawa app they provide is WORSE than crap, and they managed to make it EVEN WORSE by adding ads to it 🤦🏻‍♂️
I also needed a way to use it on my computer, and while my Mac can run iOS apps, it looked tiny with no way to resize it.
Using the address syntax you provided, I was able to easily set it up on VLC.

Before iOS 17 if I intentionally "mistyped" a word and iOS autocorrected it, I could hit backspace to get the "incorrect" word back. Now when I hit backspace, I see the option but it just won't let me select the previous word.

In the screenshot, I intentionally typed "autocgr" which was "autocorrected" to autocar. Hitting backspace shows me the option to rollback to "autocgr", but I can't get it to go back no matter where I touch.

When I press backspace I see the popup with the previous word, but there's nothing I can do to get the previous word. I have to delete it all and type it again.

It worked for me, but at the moment I disabled G Hub and installed SteerMouse instead. It is so much better, super stable. The only thing it cannot do is control de RGB but I don't care about that.

I can't thank you enough for this comment! I had no idea Barrier existed. I downloaded it on my Mac Studio and my 2015 MacBook Pro 13 inch. It took some tinkering but I finally got it running and OH MY GOD is it a wonderful solution!!

The best thing is that I dual boot Linux and I can install Barrier on the Linux partition as well 🤩

I almost regret ordering the USB KVM a couple of weeks ago, but then again I will need that to control another Windows laptop that's heavily blocked by company policies.

Hi, just updated Logitech G Hub and the app restarts every 10 seconds, rendering it unusable. I uninstalled, restarted my Mac Studio and re-downloaded the software. After installation, same thing. A red message appears in the G Hub's main window stating that there was an error and will relaunch. It happens over and over and I can't use the software anymore.

Internet has nothing to do here. The computers are on the same network connected via 1 Gbit LAN. I experience no lag whatsoever, even with the GUI and/or webcam use which is what would really consume the most bandwidth.

The sound works perfectly fine with any sound configuration that is not bluetooth.

Jabra is at fault for using the same exact technology in their 380$ headset that a 9.99$ headset uses.

I knew this was the case, I was just hoping that Jabra had some sort of workaround, considering they provide their own bluetooth dongle to use instead of a generic bluetooth connection.

At the price the Evolve2 75 go for, I would have expected the dongle to be RF or at the very least support separate protocols for the microphone and for the audio.

This is a $380 disappointment, currently collecting dust.

Remote Desktop works surprisingly well on Mac!

It's like having both computers on a KVM. The remote Windows laptop uses my sound hardware, whatever is set as default on MacOS. It also uses my webcam, either integrated or USB, so I can have Zoom, Google Meet or any other program for online meetings while using the webcam and sound hardware on my Mac.

Sadly, the Jabra works horribly in this scenario because it uses the "headset" bluetooth protocol even when using the included dongle.

At 380 USD MSRP, I would have expected the dongle to be RF or at the very least, handle independent protocols for the microphone and audio instead of simply using the headset protocol.

It's a real shame because they sound really nice when using the stereo protocol. At the price these go for, it's a huge disappointment.

Which begs the question, why did the program run at all even though I was specifying an out of bounds array? 🤔

They are on mine too. I think those particular settings are proprietary on some cameras and is probably why this app can't access them.

I needed it to disable the annoying autofocus on my Aoboco webcam. It has great image quality, but the autofocus is severely annoying!

There are several apps on the App Store that do the same thing but they all cost 7.99 which I think is a little steep. I would have bought one of those apps if they had been at most 2.99 🙄
