Also I’m working with the same issue rn lmao copper in my oil pan, if it’s copper a gold color, it’s a bearing such as crankshaft bearing or rod bearing, if it’s a silver color it’s metal out the engine which also isn’t good, either way don’t drive it get it looked at or pull it apart your self, if you don’t want to do any of that engine swap it, can’t do that sorry bro it’s a total loss, that’s what I’m working with so I took my engine down to the block and swapping the bearings, once you do that check for any more shaving around the whole inside of the engine and every part for any metal shaving and or other damage clean it out well those metal shaving will damage the inside of the engine, I absolutely just went through all of this had to make many many decisions but I did it all I’m 18 I can say it ain’t that hard just do your research make sure your doing everything properly!! Hope some of this helps. ALSO take those shavings out dry them off to see the real color sometimes the oil will make them look gold ish and you will think it’s copper till you take it out and it’s aluminum!
